Absolutely terrible standard of care. I know for a fact that at least two people that are very close to me have been disrespected by most of the nurses in this hospital. Location may be convenient for those in American Falls but the care provided is sub par at best. My husband very well could have died had we not left AMA and went to a different hospital. There were two nurses who helped significantly but the rest(6-7 others) were dreadful. Cackling and mocking him in the hallway while he was writhing in pain, begging for relief. Unbelievable amount of apathy for patients.

Leann is simply the best. She has helped us with a broken arm (our 8 yr old daughter) and a deep wound (me) in the last month and a half. She knows what she’s talking about and she is so so kind and caring.

I recently had a few tests done at the Power County Hospital. It had been years since I had last been there- prior to the renovation. As I walked in the entry I was immediately impressed with the improvements and professional and inviting space. I was greeted by a kind and helpful young woman who was screening for Covid. Here's what worked for me: I was there for outpatient lab-work and EKG. I did not have to make an appointment. I don't know how the process works for scheduling these tests- walking in was a breeze- so simple! I liked that even though I didn't have an appointment, I was able to get in and be processed very quickly. I could see the growth and dedication to improvement of care, tools and processes immediately as I walked in this hospital. As a business owner, I am very aware of processes or "client flow" and was impressed that there was an obvious dedication to the processes I was taken through as a walk-in patient. The woman who checked me in was kind, helpful and pleasant. She was professional and showed obvious dedication to her role. The woman who drew my labs and preformed my EKG was kind, knowledgable and skillful. When she drew my labs, she preformed with confidence and skill and was able to move right into my EKG quickly and easily. The whole process from walking in the door, to out the door was probably less than 30 minutes. It was a pleasant surprise! Each person who assisted in my care was clearly well trained, professional and compassionate. Another thing that worked very well for me was that I was able to view my blood tests the next day- as promised- via their easy to use patient portal. They also communicated very well with my surgeon who was in another city and provided everything to him in a timely manner. The only suggestion I have based on my experience was that it would be nice to read the results of my EKG in my patient chart. I highly suggest that our local community look into the improvements made at this hospital. There has been significant growth at Power County Hospital. It is impressive! As a resident of Power County, I am impressed with the dedication to our community and the care that has gone into building this healthcare facility. I feel proud of the dedication and hard work our community has put into these improvements. My final suggestion is that if the hospital staffing department is ever able to win back Afton May, we would all be blessed by her return to this hospital. I know that she took part in developing some of the improvement processes and was proud to know that her work and dedication was still seen present day.
