To whom it may concern this is an acknowledgment for the excellent work done by the staff member of Paramount convalescent home a special thanks to Miss Mary charge nurse and Miss Alexia IP nurse on behalf of patient Diane Walton and family again a special thank you to both nurses,, we are so happy with the service my sister is receiving at your facility both of these two ladies have went above and beyond assuring the family that Diane is doing very well,, no worries the family is at ease and is very happy,, Diane is being well taken care of with wonderful staff members as yourself on behalf of my sister and family we can't thank you enough job well done with lots of love from the family from patient Diane Walton brother Jerome

I wish the app allowed me to give 2 1/2 stars (right in the middle - "average"). But it only allows whole numbers, so I gave it a 2 (slightly "below average"). Preliminary note => contrary to its name "Convalescent", this is mostly (95%) a nursing home for elderly people. It does have a PT/OT department which technically makes it convalescent, but don't be fooled .. it's almost entirely an old folks home. The negatives first => this SNF does not have a "peaceful healing quiet" atmosphere. It is run like a Marine Corps Boot Camp. Loud. Hustle-bustle. Some nurses behave like drill sergeants. Staff wakes you up at 7:00am and shoves a breakfast tray in front of you before you even know what's going on. There's an ever-present ambient "buzz" in the facility .. either staff talking/ yelling/ laughing .. or a handful of patients playing their TV's or boom boxes at way too loud volumes. Technical => only a few of medical/nursing/therapy staff are highly knowledgeable in complex or advanced medical issues. Most staff just do basic elder care management. This SNF practices "symptom management", not "diagnostic medicine". They don't try to figure out the root cause or diagnose why you might be having a new symptom, they just give you a pill to get rid of the symptom. This is called "bandaid" medicine, and it is often not helpful. Cleanliness => average .. generally clean but as I observed, cross-contamination is frequent. Food => the food is very lacking, not only in taste, but nutritional value. This is probably the biggest negative of all, because you are what you eat. On the positive side => I must add that, given the systemic and staffing constraints, the individual staff members (CNA's, housekeeping, RN's, etc) work very hard doing what oftentimes is distasteful and hard work. I found almost all individual staff members to be genuinely friendly, conscientious and accommodating. A few were in fact "excellent" and went above and beyond in their duties. The building itself is small and quaint. It has a nice little courtyard to get some fresh air and sun. Also, the building got a new roof while I was there. The heating/air conditioning system is very good since there were some wild temperature swings in both directions while I was there, but inside I felt comfortable throughout. Conclusion => Paramount is a decent small SNF for long-term elderly patients who can't take care of themselves or be taken care of by family. They will get safe, adequate (albeit minimal), comfortable care at Paramount. But for patients with more complex, serious or acute issues who need specialized or advanced medical or rehab care and who want to get well again, it's best to seek that specialized advanced care elsewhere.

They ordered medical product from our company in mid February for $147. We are still unpaid four months later. All they do is give us a run-around. Are they not paying their other bills. Are they in financial distress? The administrator doesn't have voice mail. We sell to other facilities in the area that pay just fine. I recommend anyone with a facility member to place in a care facility to chose a different one.

This is an absolutely wonderful facility. They take care of their patients and the family. They updated us on the condition of our family member on a regular basis. Those involved in treatment (nurse, physical therapist, social services coordinator) met with us in a contactless setting and answered our questions. When we were dealing with insurance issues they stepped in to provide guidance. The staff was patient in helping us understand areas where we were questioning coverage decisions. They assisted us in finding a good board and care upon release. Then, when most facilities would end the relationship, they followed up to coordinate getting a hospital bed, physicial therapy and physician-nurse on-site visits. You can not go wrong with this hospital.

My father was sent there to recover. At first everyone seemed nice, but I guess it was only when we would visit. Just today, my father decided to speak up and told us that one of the nurses will push him and mistreated him when it came to changing him. Most of the clothes we took were not returned. Supervisor stated it was just a misunderstanding. Covering up for her nurse. I would never recommend this place. I’m disappointed of how the nurses treat patients.
