The caregivers were wonderful, however the director is a completely different story. She pushed from day one to medicate my mother and had hospice add more then one black box warning combinations. Additionally meds with 3x a day prescription were being given at 8am, 11am, and 5pm??? When I arrived one day she was comatose in the lobby, (which the director didn’t want to admit happened) I had hospice stop the dangerous combination. She wanted to argue with me? Luckily I had medical proxy and stood firm. She came into the facility walking with her walker and within 2 days they stuck her in a wheelchair and left her in it all day.
On a video call with my family after a rant about the meds, she was asked if they drug patients so they don’t cause disruptions, her answer was a confident Absolutely! Her boss jumped in quickly trying to downplay her answer, but we had known the answer before she was even asked. We moved my mom to a lovely Board and Care but were denied her medication logs on transfer, even for that day so the new facility could know what she had been given. It wasn’t in the folder they gave my sister to take to the new facility, and when I asked specifically for it, was just given a list of prescribed meds and not what was administered when.
Again the staff who assisted my mom all seemed lovely, including those in the dining room, but until they change the Director I’d avoid this facility.

Really lovely place. Sales rep was helpful and thorough. Was a top contender for my mother-in-law.

This place unfortunately is so unorganized with there staff and residents they don’t provide the adequate support and necessities required. Definitely do not recommend bringing your family members here.

Our 100 yr old mom has been living in memory care at Pacifica Senior Living since February 2020. We can't say enough about our outstanding experience with the facility and staff. She's been in the same shared room for 4 years and thriving there. They got her through the whole pandemic with the most excellent care. There does not seem to be any turnover in staff, so we have had tremendous continuity and skill in her care. The facility has been completely renovated since our arrival, and the cost will still beat ANY facility in the area. The admissions staff went above and beyond to get her admitted within only a week in order to meet an insurance deadline that would allow her to be fully covered for in-house medical visits in the facility beginning her first day of residence. After four years, they seamlessly started working with Hospice. She's been kept healthy and busy, and we still enjoy a weekly 2 mile walk with her in the beautiful residential neighborhood surrounding the facility. We HIGHLY recommend Pacifica and it's a huge blessing to have our mom there.
