Our Lady Of Mercy Country Home

Our Lady of Mercy Country Home is a retirement community offering both independent living and assisted living in Liberty, Missouri. Situated on 32 rolling acres east of I-35, the community is home to Mercedarian Sisters and residents of all faiths who live in spacious retirement apartments and private residential rooms.

The community provides assisted living as a Level II residential care facility licensed by the state of Missouri, with personal assistance, medication monitoring and distribution, and other care as needed. Supervised by a registered nurse, around-the-clock nursing staff are on duty and available. Residents receive three meals daily, housekeeping services, weekly laundry service, local transportation, and in-room phone service.

Life at Our Lady of Mercy is filled with daily activities and social opportunities. Residents participate in bridge and bingo games, Bible study, concerts, parties, exercise sessions, movies, sing-a-longs, and outings to museums, local theater shows, and restaurants. Lounges on all three floors provide comfortable spaces for residents, family members, and friends to gather and socialize. A library and activity room are available when residents are not in their rooms.

Spiritual life is central to the community. Mass is offered daily, Protestant services and other worship services are held weekly in the newly remodeled chapel, and the Mercedarian spiritual presence creates an environment where residents of all faiths feel welcome and safe. The community's commitment to "Care with Dignity" emphasizes that residents are treated as unique individuals and made to feel loved and cared for.

The countryside setting offers residents wooded grounds to walk, opportunities to observe deer and wild turkeys, and pastoral views from patios, porches, and an enclosed courtyard. Despite the rural atmosphere, city services including shopping, grocery stores, pharmacies, and dining are only 12 minutes away in any direction, with nearby Liberty, Pleasant Valley, and Kansas City providing convenient access to amenities and outings.
