If I could give this place NEGATIVE reviews, I would. I have come in the facility several times to visit my family members there and the morning staff are nice and very busy. The afternoon staff are crabby, rude, yelling, aggressive, and unpleasant. There are several reviews I have seen that are little to no stars that have been removed, yelp reviews that are negative.<br><br>The way staff treat the residents is sad. When family or higher ups are around, everyone is sweet, but when they are alone or think they are alone the staff is rude. Yelling at residents, swearing about residents having accidents and even getting upset over residents who require assistant to move around having to get in and out of bed a lot.<br><br>The way that management handles situations is bogus. Several employees have stated that they have brought things to managements attention and provided written reports that management doesn’t deal with. A residents family member stated there’s urine all over the residents carpet and management REFUSES to get it cleaned so the family member is going to pay for someone to come in. THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT NEEDS TO DO AN EVALUATION. They will hire anyone! They are constantly hiring people. All of the other negative comments are very very true from what I’ve seen. I come in once a week and have witnessed a lot. Most of the staff is very unfriendly. The morning staff is always busy: making breakfast, giving meds, waking up people, changing, laundry, more breakfast and theirs only TWO staff members. Management comes in whenever they feel necessary.<br><br>THE MOST DISGUSTING THING IS, THEY HAVE BED BUGS AND ARE CURRENTLY NOT TELLING ANY FAMILIES!!! I OVERHEARD STAFF TALKING ABOUT IT! They made all residents stay in there rooms so the areas could be sprayed.<br><br>Don’t send your family here there are other places. Better places, we are in the process of moving our loved one but they have friends there so it is difficult.

Nice clean facility where the people are cared for with dignity and respect. The staff and management are kind, caring and loving people always willing to help out and go the extra to make sure all needs are met for all your loved ones that reside there. Blessings to all the residents and staff!

Our House AL in Wausau has a great team. They go over and above to make sure the residents have the extra care and support they need. The director Stacy has created a welcoming and nurturing environment where residents truly feel at home.
