I honestly cannot say enough positive things about North Shore and the treatment I received and the people I got to know while there. I left just a little over a week and a half ago and I can tell you I miss the friends that I made there in the staff from every position from laundry, all the way to the kitchen staff the CNA’s the nurses the therapists, the cleaning staff, the activities staff and the administrative team. They were all exceptional. I love the fact that they also use the facility to train future CNA‘s and future nurses right there in the facility and you could tell they were getting excellent training. I made great friends there and I’ve already heard from a couple of the staff members that I made. I literally cried when I left because it was hard to tell everybody goodbye. The staff took the time to get to know me. They would check in to say goodbye at the end of their shift and that meant the world to me. The care that I received there was nothing short of excellent. And, I cannot say enough about the therapy department. They actually gave me my life back and I love the fact that they wouldn’t take no for an answer when they would come to start a new day of therapy. Because, I was busy wallowing in my own self-pity rather than trying to be active in my healing process and so they were patient with me, but they let me know that no wasn’t gonna be an option. If I have any negative thing to say at all, and it is the only negative thing I have to say I am almost a vegetarian, but not quite, but I absolutely do not eat pork and they serve pork for many meals a week. But in their defense, they also offer plenty of options. They have a full on menu that you can have morning noon night of salads sandwiches, grilled cheese sandwiches, soups you name it and those were always welcome when they were having a ham meal. So if any of the staff there is reading this or sees this, please know I fell in love with you and your team and the treatment I received there and I miss you all very very much.

I am very concerned about the experience my family has had with this facility. My friend’s mother was placed here and there were serious issues with her care. She was prescribed medication, including an antibiotic, but it was not administered as expected, which led to her needing to be taken back to the hospital for further treatment. There were also ongoing concerns about the environment. Her room and the surrounding area of the building were uncomfortably hot, and when this was brought to staff attention, it felt like the concerns were dismissed rather than properly addressed. This raised serious questions about attention to patient comfort and safety. In addition, the bathroom in her room appeared run down and in poor condition, with visible makeshift repairs such as tape. The overall cleanliness and condition of the bathroom raised concerns about hygiene and whether it is being properly maintained for patient safety, especially for individuals who may have vulnerabilities or medical conditions requiring a sterile or clean environment. We also had a similar experience with my grandfather, where conditions in his room. Overall, our experiences left us feeling that communication, maintenance, and responsiveness from staff were not at the level expected for a care facility. I strongly encourage others to ask detailed questions, visit in person, and closely monitor care if they choose this facility for a loved one.

These clowns cannot manage even the simplest of daily care for patients. They NEVER enter notes into the system on what needs to be done. I've requested 6 times over 2 weeks for them to address my dad's neck pain. Today NO ONE even knew what we were talking about. They went 5 days without shaving my dad's face. My brother finally had to go in and do it. My dad asked for 3 days to have his hair shampooed. It's done with a shampoo cap and literally takes 4-5 minutes. SIMPLE too. I finally bullied someone into getting the damn cap so I could do it myself. My dad's skin is flaking off its so dry. Huge bottle of lotion by his bed and request after request for them to put lotion on his face, neck, chest, and arms just once daily. It is NEVER done. NEVER. We always have to do it ourselves. All of this happens over again each week. They are incompetent and entirely unresponsive to even the most basic patient needs, including simple hygiene. There is almost zero communication about how physical therapy is going, or in my dad's case, not going. They NEVER tell us when my dads therapy isnt going well. We havecto cobstantly ask about it, but regular care staff can't even view the therapy notes! Therapists NEVER answer or return calls. I honestly can't say enough bad things about this place. They should be shut down for false advertising in addition to being astoundingly bad at their jobs. I've honestly never seen a less effective group of people in my entire life. Apparently they were bought out sometime not too long ago. The entire staff is completely unresponsive and incompetent. COMPLETELY. If I could get away with it, this entire review would be laced with swear words. They are 10 thousand percent WRETCHED.

Less than nothing for this place which I find unethical, due to the fact that the new management recently let go of staff members that had been working there for years without a fair reason and from one day to the next without a warning. I have never had a family member in this place but I would never knowing that this is the kind of respect and lack of empathy they have towards people. That to me says a lot.

I should have done this months ago. I was in North Shore Health & Rehab. In June/July 2025. I had the most amazing care from ALL staff members. I couldn’t believe how lucky I got as I’ve heard so many nursing home nightmares. I was on the rehab. Unit for a fractured femur. My P.T. & O.T. Helped me improve so much in the 4 weeks I was there. I had speech therapy as Parkinson’s caused swallow issues - she could not have been better!! Nurses, Cna’s wonderful always arrived timely and went above and beyond. Other ancillary staff was great also. They told me that all positions were filled with their own staff. Which says a lot about- no caretakers were from outside agencies. North Shoe is wonderful - all of u should be very proud to be part of the team!
