I went to visit one of my dear friends at North Port Rehabilitation. When I got there she said she had to poop, we rang the buzzer and no one came. I even asked one of the attendants if she could get my friend some one to help her because she had to poop. The woman said “sorry I don’t work over here. “. “I said, well couldn’t you just ask someone that dfoes work here to get her something to go poop ?” No one came, I left , came back and her daughter was with her now. Don’t know if an attendant helped her poop or her daughter did. You people that own this place need to hire more help to attend to the patients . God is watching

My brother got transferred here today after open heart surgery. I’ve been calling this facility since 5pm requesting I speak to the nurse in charge of my brother. Tried several times now and it’s now 8:10pm. All six phone calls I was on hold ten minutes or longer yet No one picked up. Called back again and was hung up on. We’ve also left nurses station a voicemail at 6pm. No return call and we can not get through to any nurse to check up on my very sick brother recovering from open heart surgery. Tried again. Put on hold for several minutes. No one picks up phone since 5pm. I’m worried about my brother and wanted to see how he is doing, to no avail.

North port health and rehab has been incredible. The nursing staff is helping and smiling. The staff is always Going out of their way to accommodate we are amazed at the care of him at this point. we couldn’t be more pleased with everybody in this place just starting in on my first day I was greeted with a big smile at the reception lady that helped me sign in and was so friendly that I thought this is a very nice place to be for the last two weeks which has been improved tremendously in his muscular strength he’s walking and he can even walk from his bed to the bathroom by himself as need to be he can get up and use the bathroom anytime he wants to he dresses himself he puts his shoes and socks on a brush his teeth, so he’s very independent and has become so independent in the last two weeks that it is amazing to all of us.

Sorry that I can't leave zero stars because that is what this place deserves. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE PICTURES OF THIS PLACE!! IT IN NO WAY LOOKS LIKE THIS. MAYBE THE DAY IT OPENED! I'm not sure how the people that left anything above a single star live, but this place is absolutely disgusting. It smells horrible, it is filthy dirty, the food is not even good enough for my dog let alone the poor elderly that are totally ignored. They just have these poor people sitting in wheelchairs all around the hallways for HOURS. I actually sat and watched this poor elderly man that was sitting in the hallway outside the room for at least three hours. All he had was a towel to wipe his mouth because he was constantly drooling. This was right across from the so called nurses station. He dropped the towel on the floor and was unable to pick it up himself. he kept on trying to get the nurses attention to have her get his towel for him and as I sat and watched her totally ignore this poor man, I finally said to her "this poor man has been asking you to pick up his towel for him for at least 10 minutes". It was then that she put a pair of gloves on, picked up his towel and gave the dirty full of drool towel back to him, and then just turned around and walked away without so much as saying a word to him. DISGUSTING AND DISGRACEFUL! Its a shame how heartless these people are. I receive a call everyday from my father saying "Please get me out of here, they are horrible nasty people in here." The food is not even eatable. He asked for a cup of coffee at appx 6pm which is right around dinner time and their response to him was "we are out of coffee and we won't be making anymore today". What a shame. I know a few of the past reviews I read they said they would be escalating their concerns to the powers to be. I don't see that this has happened and this DUMP is still operating. It may be convenient to keep your loved ones close, but this place is not even fit to board your animals in when you go on vacation. I for one will be taking the appropriate steps to report this run down, disgusting, horribly staffed operation. Oh and by the way every employee in there are very nasty with bad attitudes.
