My aunt is there and I visit a lot. The workers are very kind. Today a resident fell and when I told them, workers jumped up and rushed over. I was impressed because I worked in a different nursing home 20 years ago and when I mentioned somebody had fallen there was no rush to help like there was here. Here they seemed to really care. They acted fast and worked together well.

Recently took a friend to see her sick/dying mother. Upon arrival could barely make it into the parking lot with the amount of snow/slush. Huge safety concern for patients and guests. My friend I’ve heard several times now voice very serious concerns about her mother as well as proper care for her mother. She has spoken with numerous nurses, case managers, and directors about concerns she has had. They communicate very poorly with residents families. They say they can’t provide specific information on residents in regards to hippa law. They then provide certain responses to questions that break the “hippa law” The responses I’ve heard were very unprofessional and rude. She expressed concern about someone possibly bringing in narcotic drugs to the facility with a response of “we can’t do anything just based off speculation” in my opinion that’s pretty frightening. Her mother currently takes heavy doses of pain meds through hospice. With the concern of others bringing narcotics into the facility she is concerned of potential overdose. Not to mention the cost of the facility and the poor care they provide. She has had another family member in past at this location that was handled/cared for very rough and poorly. It’s sad to see. I would never recommend this place to anyone. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Norlite Nursing Home took such wonderful care of my mom during a very difficult time for our family. The staff were incredibly supportive, compassionate, and kind—not just to my mom, but to us as well. They treated her with dignity and genuine care, and they were always patient, attentive, and willing to explain things or simply offer comfort when it was needed most. It truly felt like they cared from the heart. I am deeply grateful to the staff at Norlite for making such an emotional experience a little easier. I will always appreciate the kindness they showed our family.

EVERY. Single. Time. I went to visit my mom the staff was always SO hands on. They are NOT lazy. The care my mom received was more than exceptional and they made my mom feel comfortable and loved. I felt secure leaving her with the Norlite staff, knowing they could care for her and her needs when it became too much for me and she needed 24/7 care. I can’t thank the staff enough for caring for my beautiful mama up until the end. I am so thankful for each person who had a hand in her care. 10000% recommend.

I would personally like to thank each employee that anything to do with my mother's care these last couple years. I live. 1250 miles away, and after losing a son to covid, and the worsening of my own health, I wasn't able to care for Mom myself. Its an uneasy feeling that a stranger to her, was responsible to feed,bath educate, love and friend her without me looking over their shoulders! I only have 1 concern, at the beginning of this journey, I called many times to talk to her and get health updates. I was refused! My 2 sisters were the only ones allowed information. I understand privacy policy, but "family" policy should be able to make exceptions !! Again, I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for loving her and keeping her safe!
