From the admissions office to the therapy department, couldn't ask for better care and they genuinely care about the patients and residents they have there. I've been there twice for rehab for a stroke and couldn't ask for anything better. Excellent staffing.

add anyone in there long enough to make a determination on my review however reading comments from other people is very pollen as not many of them had anything good to say. what if anything is being done to rectify the behavior of these caregivers?

My grandmother is currently in the rehabilitation program here. The care team at NHC in Laurens for rehab is excellent. I have experience with several facilities in the upstate for this purpose over the last couple of years with my grandparents. None of those facilities or care teams meet the standards I have experienced with NHC of Laurens. I am incredibly grateful for them for their care and support of my grandmother and me during this roller coaster of a time with my grandmother’s current health needs. Please continue to do what you are doing as it is needed and appreciated.

This place deserves zero stars but because that isn’t an option I put one. Please, if you love and care about your loved one please do not send them to NHC in Laurens. My grandma is there, and has been for sometime, unfortunately. I’ve seen VERY few employees who actually care about the residents, their wellbeing, and making sure they are properly cared for, in fact I can probably count on one hand how many employees I’ve seen that do care. Most of the ones I’ve seen especially on third shift would rather sit and play on their phones and neglect, abuse, ignore the residents and their needs, talk to them in a hateful manner, and get an attitude and act like it’s a problem when a resident needs them for something. I’ve seen it and heard it with my own eyes and ears, and not just with my grandmother, but with other residents as well. I know that we’re only human and I get that sometimes people have a bad day, and sometimes take it out on people without realizing it or meaning to, and I’m sure it’s not always easy to be a caregiver, especially when a resident is being particularly difficult, I do understand that, but these employees that I’ve seen who make it blatantly obvious they don’t care, are like that EVERY SINGLE TIME, so that is definitely NOT having a bad day with human emotions and feelings. Seriously, if yall don’t like your jobs and don’t like being a caregiver, FIND ANOTHER JOB, preferably somewhere that not only isn’t a nursing home or other caregiving facility, but something that is not anywhere in the medical field at all, because the things I’ve seen, heard, and watched my grandma and other residents go through is absolutely disgusting, heartbreaking, unprofessional, unethical, and inhumane. And those who treat these residents like theyre the scum on the bottom of your shoe, how can yall treat these residents, or ANYONE at all like that and be ok with it like and not see how sickening it is? What if it was you or someone you loved that was being treated in such a disgusting way? And just as yall are human with rights, feelings, and emotions, so are these residents. Be better, and do better.

I would like to thank NHC Laurens for the great care of my Grandmother during her stay at NHC Laurens. I was a little scared with never having someone in a nursing facility, however the Admission department helped me through the process and made my Grandmother and myself feel good about our choice. Steafanie Griffin was there to help us through day to day and getting her ready to transfer home safely. The Nursing and Therp. department were wonderful. I would never think of any of my family members going anywhere else. Thank you NHC for taking such good care of my Grandmother and our family!
