My Father passed away while in the care of these incredible human beings. They were so kind and cared for my father the was Jesus teaches. Some of the nicest people I have ever met there.

My husband was there after a stroke. Therapy was good, staff was friendly and he was getting better in the beginning and talking fairly well. Then within a few weeks his mind started going downhill. Then he was getting difficult so their kindness went downhill. He was refusing meds. Then one evening he had another stroke, I was talking to him on the phone, his speech was awful. He was in pain, but I thought they had given him a new med and thought it was that and he needed sleep. The night nurse was very short with him, I heard it on the phone. The next morning when I got there he was in a coma and they didn't know it! I got the director of nursing to go to his room and she knew. My husband stroked, hours later slipped into a coma and they didn't do anything. My husband died that night, about 24 hours after a stroke and coma. I asked for a meeting after that, it never happened. I felt that at least a nurse should know the signs of a stroke.

My husband was in this facility for only 2 days and his health took a down turn (not their fault), but the first night he was in there I called and called for hours and nobody would answer the phone left messages and finally got a return call at 11:00 that night. Went to visit the next day, my husband rang for the nurse about 4 times and waited for about an hour for someone to show up. I'm sorry but this was unacceptable. Unfortunately my husband's health has not improved but if it had he would not be returning to this facility.

Like everyone in 2021 they may be a little short staffed from time to time but all the staff is well trained and delightful. My husband is here with a serious injury from an accident and at this point needs skilled nursing care. They have done a great job working with him. They have both occupational therapy and physical therapy. Because this is a small town atmosphere we don't have to deal with all these strict regulations of the city And I have been able to stay with him all day. This has been a great help for us. This is situated on the Oregon coast and the grounds are beautiful with garden flowers trees and a view of the bay. Visitation can be done in the outside gardens or the visitation room inside. I definitely encourage you to try this wonderful care center.
