Do not send your family member here. This facility does not look after the emotional or physical welfare of their residents. The quality of life is subpar, the residents are chastised if they formulate a complaint, and retaliated against in retribution. It’s a miserable existence that you wouldn’t wish on your enemies, let alone your family.

I stopped in to see my dad last week. Observed the med tech drop a medication and she got nasty about it when it was addressed. After taking my dad out to smoke the pill was found under his bed. So I found her and returned the pill to her. She responded with we find pills all the time. The administrator saw me walking around and asked if she could help me. I replied with telling her the situation. She looked down the hall towards the med tech shook her head. I gave her my 2 cents on how I felt about the facility. I was a CNA for over 20 years. I've never walked into a nursing home with music blaring so loud that I felt it through my body, Rap music at that. The staff don't wear clothes on the weekend that you can tell them and the residents apart. The halls smell of urine throughout the building. My first visit there that was my battle. every person I walked up to was a resident. They were standing in the med room where they didn't belong. The administrator then told my sister I said I couldn't wait till my dad dies and that I was not acting appropriately. The administrator caused battle between family because of her lies. She couldn't handle the criticism that I gave her. I would never write this if I had not of been a CNA and worked in the field for so long. My dad had a bruise on his thigh that no one had any idea how it got there. At the 12 day the the day of his life that bruise was still very prominent.
