What a joke, go in there after hip surgery and the staff is more concerned with doing therapy on a shoulder that aches because of an old injury than doing the required therapy for the hip. Morning meds are often times not given until 11:30 am that clearly state they need to be taken before breakfast, meds that are 12 hours apart are given at 11:30 in the morning and 7:00 pm. You can't get a director on the phone it just rings and says they are not available and no option to leave a message for a call back. The meds nurse is very short and snippy with family members. Be forwarded if you put a family in there they will disregard anything the primary care, surgeon or other specialist have determined, because the intake nurse and Dr feel they know best even without knowing the patient history. Do not let them fool you into believing that they treat all patients and family with the utmost respect and care like their ad says. The nurse techs are great! Kind and caring! And very sympathetic to patient complaints but have no authority to right the wrongs being done to patients. If they are treating people of sound mind that are only there for physical therapy in this manner what are they treating people with altered mental status like. Do not place a lived one here.

We pulled our mother from another facility and she had to be hospitalized for a week because of poor care. She has thrived at Medilodge. The staff is amazing no matter how man times I bug them lol. They all deserve a raise and I'd give them another star if I could.

My mother is a frequent flyer at Medilodge of Alpena. The staff here have always treated her with dignity and respect. Any issues she has is dealt with quickly and with kindness. We've had staff go out of their way to say hello and to check in on her.

Hi all, I was a resident of MediLodge for three months, Sent home on September 25 th of this year. You might think I’m a little strange, but I really miss so many people there. I met so many great people Including all the nurses and assistances and the wonderful therapy program they have. I miss eating with the people I met and grew to love. I love being home with my family too. I want to wish everyone there a wonderful Thanksgiving and I hope they give you a great meal🍱 Thank you to all of you who took such good care of me. Similar to other REAL reviews I've read alot of praising reviews , Likely from staff paid to endorse where they work. We removed our mother today after a few weeks of care and are transporting her elsewhere. Cleanliness wasn't that great but not terrible. Saw alot of staff in appearing to wander around without care to some patients. Our mother complained of a few things. Our biggest issue tho LACK OF COMMUNICATION. We got most of our info from a great employee in the financial dept who looked into things for us as we had unanswered questions. Even with medical power of attorney, we were NOT updated or I formed on some things , even after putting in specific requests and waiting for a reply. I can say it did NOT appear to be understaffed , so there is no valid excuse that is acceptable. As family that lives far from the complex , simple basic communication should not be avoided. Our Loved ones are our highest concern. Some of the staff I met in person we're friendly, however I'd NOT recommend as we worried daily too much and the lack of empathy and communication to us was VERY DISCOURAGING
