It is impossible to fully express our gratitude for the care my dad received during his stay.

From the aides and nurses to the activity staff, housekeeping, laundry team, and leadership, every person we encountered treated my dad and our family with kindness, dignity, and genuine compassion. No matter their role, everyone greeted us warmly and made us feel welcome.

The staff didn't just care for my dad's physical needs—they took the time to get to know him and our family, offering support, guidance, and comfort throughout his stay.

What stood out most was how deeply the caregivers cared about their residents. We saw staff advocate for my dad's comfort, treat him with patience and respect, and go above and beyond to make sure he was well cared for. During his final days, their compassion and presence brought tremendous comfort to our family.

We were also consistently impressed by how clean and well-maintained the facility was. It was always spotless, welcoming, and never had the odors that are often associated with long-term care facilities.

Entrusting a loved one's care to others is never easy, but this team made us feel confident that my dad was safe, respected, and cared for by people who truly loved what they do.

Our family will always be grateful for the kindness shown to my dad and to all of us. Thank you for everything.

I first visited Meadowbrook three years ago in anticipation of one day needing a more advanced memory care home for our mom, they stood out then for a variety of reasons, including overall quality of the facility, professionalism and engagement of the staff, cleanliness, attention to design that makes it feel more like a home versus a clinical setting, and most importantly an overall sense of the staff seeming to truly care about the residents. Upon a recent visit I was pleasantly surprised to find all the same to be true even after three years had passed since my first visit. In making our decision, it also helped that we had several family members and friends who previously had loved ones at Meadowbrook and all had nothing but good things to say about them.

Thus far we have nothing but high praise for the facility and every member of the staff we have worked with and met. I’m extremely grateful to Mirka, Director of Community Relations, who met with me on short notice and worked with me over a weekend to quickly and efficiently work thru the process to move my mom in. Mirka was extremely caring, professional, responsive, direct, and quick to follow up on questions, and remained communicative every step of the way, always giving me heads up via texts as to where we were at in the process. Mirka made what was a very stressful time of life as smooth as it could have been and it felt like she truly cared, to include being present the day we moved our mom in and welcoming her to the community. There are many others there who have helped along the way to include Lucy, Mary, Lily, Brandy, Joe, Tim, Rick, and many others whose names I’m forgetting but all who stand out as being engaged and dedicated professionals. We received several calls from the nursing staff during the first week or so as our mom was getting acclimated and they provided specific and informed updates as to how she was adjusting and for that we are deeply grateful. Add to that the family-owned feel of the community combined with an overwhelming sense of dedication to caring for the loved ones they serve, and my siblings and I find peace and rest in knowing that our mom is receiving the care she needs all day, every day.

A deep thank you to the Koelsch family for their vision and dedication to the service of the care of loved ones rooted in the philosophy of caring for each resident with the respect and dignity they deserve. That philosophy stood out for my family and I when making this choice and we felt that it was demonstrated by every staff member we met during the process of moving our mom in and our subsequent visits to her. That more than anything stood out for us from all the other facilities we visited and considered. To the Koelsch family, a heartfelt thank-you for creating a place that stands out in an “industry” that feels very cold and corporate at many of the communities we visited. The legacy your family has created feels as though it truly exemplifies that of a servant’s heart, and seems to be what is missing in so many of the other communities we visited. My family and I are grateful to have found your community for our Mom. We wish your family the best and hope that you continue in your dedication to excellence and service in this field so that others may find the same peace that we have found in seeking a home and care for their loved one in what often feels like a brutal journey of caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s/dementia.

The entire staff has been very helpful, friendly, and supportive. The transition from our home to Meadowbrook has been as smooth as we could have hoped. The facility is very clean and orderly. We couldn't have asked for a better experience with a most responsive, conscientious staff. Thank you for all that y'all do.

My parents, aged 98 and 95 years, enrolled in the Meadowbrook Community 1.5 years ago. They receive competent, compassionate, and cheerful assisted living at care levels 4 and 1 respectively. The Meadowbrook staff welcomes families' participation in active living events, that include festive parties, music, and spiritual development. Meadowbrook honors veterans and veterans benefits.
