Hallways and common areas are heated to 77+ in winter. Schedule adhered to. Ok food according to my mother. Good parking. 10 out of the 14 Apts rented. When needed, maintenance was on the ball, and quick.

I would NEVER recommend Meadowbrook to ANYONE. The majority of care staff tried, but they were terribly understaffed and my dad's basic care needs were unmet. For example, he would sit in his own urine for hours, and go unchanged for entire shifts. When we asked for these things to change, we were met with forced politeness and promises to "get to him as soon as possible." The part of the building my dad was in was grossly dirty, ie: ants all over the floor where food was not cleaned up, tables rarely wiped, bathrooms uncleaned. The management was indescribably cruel. They overall operation of this place makes it unsuitable for those who need the most care. They changed his medications, despite doctor's orders otherwise, didn't provide the therapies written in his care plan, and would cast blame on others when called on it. They gave excuses upon excuses. We were there with him as much of the day as possible. If we couldn't get the most basic care for my dad, what about the other residents who didn't have someone there advocating for them on a constant basis? Thinking about my dad's time here creates them most intense and negative emotions.

I would not even give one star. I called to talk to my mom on August 3rd as I missed her birthday and whoever had the phone was extremely inconsiderate to the situation. My mom wouldn’t come to the phone and the girl said, “what do you want me to do? Drag her over here?” I was in tears and she was not the one who should have had the phone. Then come to find out they were over medicating her. That was the last time I was able to speak to my mom. It was only for a minute and I didn’t understand her.<br>Now she is in the hospital and I am sitting at her bedside listening to her breathe and waiting for her final moment on this earth.

Over medicated my mother and hastened her death. Did not provide adequate care while she was sedated, and thus ended up with large bed sores on the bottom of both of her heels. Even though she was unresponsive, they put a regular diet in front of her to eat. One staff member was walking around with socks on their feet rather than appropriate footwear. I wouldn’t take my dog there!! If I could give a zero star, I would.
