Maxim healthcare has been nothing but a nightmare for my family since getting discharged from the hospital. They backed our other nursing company off claiming they could staff all of our needed hours. Turns out they DEFINITELY couldn’t. We didn’t even have 24 hour care for the first two weeks even though it was their policy. They are so unhelpful and send out UNTRAINED nurses to our home claiming they have the hardest training program. Then when you ask them to find nursing they can never staff anything!

Unfortunately I had to walk after 5 yrs. I give maxim 2 stars for the sake of the babies. I worked out of the Ks office, things were great in the beginning then took a drastic dive within the last yr. I was cheated out of compensation several times, had to ask for a raise, even being left without work for weeks on end. Eventually I lost my apartment due to lack of work. I was being told there was no work available (choosing to give other nurses cases) or they just couldn’t afford me(whatever that means). I find that odd due to families informing me they had not been receiving coverage. Office staff lacks empathy and compassion for field nurses. Some of the expectations from families are not within nursing standards, they want nanny’s not nurses. The office staff does not back their nurses when concerns are voiced. I have referred nurses over the years, highly do not recommend moving forward.

I have been with Maxim for one year. I live out in the booneys, and they do their best to ensure I have shifts available. Kyle, Sholah and David are wonderful to work with. They do their best to answer any questions and assign you to a family that fits your personality or work ethic. When addressing issues, some of their employees do not know how to properly bring about a solution. They seem to ignore or sweep them under the rug. I am trying to be professional and nice as I can be in reference to this issue.

Maxim is a good company to work for. When I started, they made sure I had the hours I wanted/needed for the week. Now that I have my assigned client for 40 hours a week, I'm happy with him and he is happy with me. If I had to mention one negative is that they need to communicate with their staff a little better. Maxim will train you quickly to get you working!

I've been with Maxim for almost 2 years. I LOVE this company! The recruiters do their very best to keep me working. If my primary patient is in the hospital, they all work together as a team to find patients to place me with. . They work very hard each week for me and for the families. They have trained me in various specialties that I wouldn't do as a nurse in other places of employment. They are kind, patient, and they care about their nurses and families they service. By far the best place I've worked as a nurse!
