My family had a deeply disappointing experience with Manchester Center for Rehabilitation and Healing.

I want to be clear that the bedside nurses and CNAs who cared for my grandmother were compassionate, hardworking, and genuinely cared about their patients. They are not the reason for this review.

Unfortunately, our experience with Nurse Practitioner Emily Schneider, DNP, APRN, FNP-C., was the complete opposite.

Throughout my grandmother's stay, our family repeatedly raised concerns that her condition was worsening and requested that she receive a higher level of medical care. We were repeatedly reassured that she could be managed at the facility, despite our concerns that she needed emergency evaluation. Instead, her condition continued to decline until she became unresponsive and required emergency hospitalization and intensive care.

Our family firmly believes that had our concerns been taken seriously and acted upon sooner, this medical crisis could have been avoided.

This was not an isolated concern. Months earlier, during a scheduled care plan meeting, while our family was discussing my grandmother's condition and asking questions about her care, Emily Schneider spent time scrolling through her phone instead of engaging in the conversation. I will be attaching a photo from that meeting because it perfectly reflects the level of attention and professionalism we experienced throughout my grandmother's stay.

We also received multiple emails that dismissed or minimized our concerns rather than addressing them with the urgency they deserved, leaving our family feeling unheard and forced to advocate for care that should have been obvious.

Families place an enormous amount of trust in the medical professionals caring for their loved ones. While the nursing staff showed kindness and compassion, our experience with the medical oversight provided by Emily Schneider left us feeling ignored, frustrated, and deeply concerned for my grandmother's safety.

I would encourage anyone considering this facility to be actively involved in their loved one's care, ask questions, and trust their instincts if they feel something is wrong. We certainly wish our concerns had been taken more seriously.

I couldn't have asked for a better place. The therapy team is working well, they are very attentive and encouraging. They have a way to make therapy not feel like it is work and they make it fun.
