Absolutely the worst place if your in need of medical attention on any level. Zero intellectual care Zero bedside manner It seems to be a bother if any of them have to do work. I suggest going to Fargo or Detroit Lakes for better proper care.

Quick response in the ER, nursing staff were kind ...well...was there again and the nurses were kind and did their job...as for the doctor on call, that was a whole different story, was misdiagnosed, doctor didn't even take time to check my ailment, seemed uncaring!! Had to drive 50 miles to another hospital to be seen and be diagnosed!! Never again will I go to the Mahnomen health center!!!

About a year ago I went in to the ER for mouth and jaw pain, I was seen my a female doctors, she checked my vitals, examined my face, cheeks and jaw and at the time which it was swelled up to the size of a softball. She had told me to take ibuprofen, keep a warm pack on it and that my thyroids were swollen. Well, I happened to go my dentist at White Earth Indian Health Center. They immediately told me I needed to go to DL ER since mahnomen didn’t look further into it. I get to DL to find out I HAVE A FRICKIN ABSCESS TOOTH INFECTION. I was hospitalized in DL for about 4-5 days then sent to Fargo Sanford Hostpital to have my tooth pulled and all the fluids drained. I will never ever go to this ER again because of that experience and how they didn’t look further into my situation.

We took our son to the ER and the care Renee gave him was above and beyond what we expected. She called days later to see how he was doing and she didn’t have too. We are blessed to have such caring medical professionals so close to home.
