This is by far the worst nursing home in Missouri. My grandma was a resident here for two years, and during that time she lost so many of her personal belongings. One of the most heartbreaking losses was a handmade quilt that a family member made especially for her. It disappeared and was never found. Another upsetting experience was when my great-aunt brought my grandma flowers. Instead of giving them to her, staff took them to the nurses’ station and claimed they weren’t for her. There was no reason my grandma shouldn’t have received them. I work in a different nursing home myself, so I understand the level of care residents deserve. Unfortunately, that was not what I saw here. Residents were often not kept clean, and the overall quality of care was unacceptable. When you walk into this place, pee smell hits you right in the face when you come in. Families trust nursing homes to care for their loved ones with dignity, respect, and compassion. Based on our experience, this facility failed to do that. I would not recommend this nursing home to anyone looking for a safe and caring place for their loved one. SO PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE PUTTING A LOVES ONE IN THE HOME.

Would give this place a negative 1000 if I could. Absolutely the worst place to put a loved one in. Worst possible resident cares Absolutely no activities for the residents to enjoy. Food is absolutely a disgrace not allowed to even have a butter knife wont put ice in their drinks even on 100 degree days their "ice tea" is the same temp as coffee. Food portions are for a toddler the state of Missouri should shut this place down the smell of urine e absolutely knocks you off your feet as soon as you walk threw the front door the people who run this place & the workers should absolutely be ashamed of their selves

My mom has been a resident here for over a year. I continue to be impressed with all aspects of this facility. The staff is caring and loving and competent. Thank you Livingston Manor for making a difficult situation so much easier to bear!
