It seems that each time I come to visit my friend who is in the facility, she is well taken care of. All the staff are very caring and friendly with the occupants as well as those visiting. It is a clean facility. There seems to be a variety of activities for the patrons to take part in..

While I have encountered a few challenges during my stay at Life Care Center of Tucson, I have been deeply impressed by the leadership team's responsiveness. They listened carefully to my concerns and have actively demonstrated that they are addressing them. The staff here works incredibly hard. From the nurses and CNAs to the kitchen and maintenance crews, everyone genuinely cares and shows a great deal of empathy, helping in any way they can. I specifically want to commend the following leaders for working diligently to continuously improve the facility: - Corrie Killingsworth, Executive Director - Laura Idrissou, Director of Nursing - Amber Landroche, Assistant Director of Nursing My sincere thanks to all the staff for making my difficult medical recovery easier.

If you love your family member, or at least don't disdain them, you will not allow them to be placed here. My mother was in this facility from 2018 until 2024. In that time she was severely neglected and abused. I was unable to have her removed because my half uncle had power of attorney over her and had less care or concern for her well being or perhaps he believed the lies these people told. In the summer of 2024 I visited her 4 days in a row for 5-6 hours a day. During the evening hours the care was particularly bad. My mother had a painful rash from not being cleaned properly. I had to ask for over 5 hours multiple days to get her cared for. One day, when the woman finally came (again after multiple requests for a 5 hour period) she shut my mom in her room for only 30 seconds, putting her in bed. The lady (who had extremely long black curly hair) came out with a smirk on her face. There is no way she could have cleaned or properly cared for my mother in that 30 seconds. I felt powerless. On my way out that evening, I ran into another woman who said her friend had come into the facility for the treatment of a simple wound, but because they did not care for her properly, the infection worsened and her friends leg may have to be amputated. According to the woman, it should never have come to that. She also believed Lifecare should be shut down.As far as my mom, after 3 days of constant requests, they finally issued an ointment to treat my mother's rash which was likely caused by their neglect. There is one male nurse in particular who would literally scold and yell at her multiple times per day if she needed anything-and that was in presence!! One day that I was there all day, waiting for someone to change my mother and address her rash, the entire nursing staff had a meeting for a good 20-30 minutes. There was one medical assistant running up and down the halls trying to assist the patients as many called out for help. It was later revealed this meeting was about ME! They asked me who I was. I told her I am visiting my mother and they should not be concerned about who I am they should be concerned about the many patients up and down the hall who weren't getting the basic care they needed or deserved. Several patients who were in the hall nodded their heads and clapped after I said this. The next day, the day staff kissed my butt, trying to convince me this somehow wasn't a terribly run facility that should be shut down immediately. I tried to get my uncle (located out of state) to release her but he wouldn't listen. Thankfully, my mom tried to escape a couple months later, getting trapped in the fire escape. They then kicked her out! Thank God! She has been in the most incredible facility since then and she is like a new woman, feeling loved, valued and cared for. She went from feeling sad, angry and frustrated every day to the polar opposite, with no other change in medication except being removed from this horrible place and moved somewhere where she is actually cared for properly. I am making this review as a public service announcement for anyone who cares about their relatives. Please look into other options. My mother is low income and is now in a great facility. There are other options. Please don't give up on your family member and allow them into this facility. There are more things that went wrong there but I can't even put all of them here there are so many. Best wishes to you and your family members and friends who need care. ***Also worth mentioning that at least one time (if not more) someone stole the gifts and care package items I sent to my mother while she lived there.***

Hi, I am so sorry for my latest review. Yes my mom is a new resident here, and sometimes things don't go as well as a resident might like. I finally visited today. I meet Laura and she was so understanding and listened so well to my mom. So thank you so much. And look forward to visiting my mom often.

I have been in this facility about 3 times to visit a patient of mine as I’m a Hospice worker. I am truly impressed . As I walk into the front doors receptionist always greets with a good morning and a smile and the facility doesn’t smell like others I’ve been to. It smells clean fresh and is clean. My Patient is well taking care. I don’t know the staff there But I can see how my Patient is clean well dressed and staff very helpful if I need anything. Good place to have your loved one. One pleased CNA
