Great staff and excellent care. Everyone is friendly, respectful, and genuinely cares about the residents. The facility is clean and welcoming, and communication with families is very good. Highly recommend!

I do not trust this facility. My loved one did not do therapy as he should have. But that was no excuse to just ignore him. He refused showers sometimes but sometimes asked for one. He did not get one for a month. Why? Tonight he was given burned toast for supper, then finally some peaches. The room he is in is 80 degrees. It is so hot it makes me ill to go out there. One day he was slurring his speech, incoherent, agitated and unaware of his surroundings. I brought it to their attention for 3 days before anything was done. I suspected a UTI. Finally he was tested for one & results came back in a week! No UTI! I called 911 twice and Lakewoods sent them away. Was he drugged? What? He never saw a doctor to my knowledge. They X rayed him for pneumonia. Still waiting on results. He supposedly went to a post surgery appt.(they forgot the first one). There are no notes on it & he doesn’t remember going because it was the days he was out of it. I have talked to employees rationally & they always explain everything away quickly. When one is out there staff is attentive. But he has hated it there from the beginning & it has affected his rehab. I doubt he ever comes home again after this. It has been disastrous. I have found him sitting in urine soaked diaper so bad it smelled. On holidays it is poorly understaffed. The place scares me.

I have been visiting my brother at Lakewood nursing facility I became attached to residents with the beautiful smile And laugher, small talk from the residents , I notice the cleanse. My family member lives in Lakewood for 2 yrs he really like the location. I see his personality has changed for the better. He loves all his friends And his workers he met and he surely makes it his business to introduce them to his sisters. I personal decided to volunteer as a impersonator with music Tina Turner Gladys Knight Whitney Houston and it brings a big smile on the residents face and it brings joy to my heart. And the worker are entertained from the music what a joy I see a lot of improvement in the facility. A nice place to call home...
