My families experience with the Nursing Staff, Respiratory, CNA’s, Physicians and our Case Manager Kelly Barter has been amazing. The care that my sister received while at Kindred was exceptional. We really appreciate Kelly for coordinating some basic training in how to take care of a patient that is on a feeding tube and tracheotomy. The respiratory staff Joe Corneille, Frank and all of the respiratory therapist that provided training we appreciate you all. Joe Corneille came to assist my sister anytime we needed him and he showed so much compassion. Frank you’re awesome as well. They never showed irritation or a I am to busy demeanor. That says a lot about how they embrace their patients and support families. The nursing staff were spectacular as well, Adiamis Diaz Hernandez we appreciate you so much along with all of the wonderful nurses that made sure my sister was well taken care of. Dr. Ibrahim thank you for being so straight forward and concerned about her care at home. We know it’s a difficult task but we’re up for the challenge and all is going well so far. Training is being reinforced by Concierge Home Health and South Florida Pulmonary Care. Thanks again to all of the 3rd floor staff to include the ICU team who had exceptional nurses.

My mom came here after a hemorrhagic stroke. The Kindred doctor told us its was his oversight on not reducing the dosage of Kepra, meaning he didn’t even review the meds from hospital. After we told him about the over dosage, he reduced it and our mom woke up the next day. Then she was discharged. The person who runs Kindred has a PHD in pharmacy and tried to argue that Kepra did not cause sedation even though the various MDs we spoke with said it did. Also my mom had clot preventing boots on her legs, we asked if they are taken off and her legs assessed regularly, they said of course every time they clean her the boots are removed. While there one day she was grabbing her leg and we took off the boot and she had a very purple deep tissue wound which ultimately became a stage 4 pressure ulcer at the next facility. My mom was non verbal paralyzed on one side on a feeding tube. She was not treated with dignity and respect by Kindred. Many times she was found to be laying on her paralyzed arm, slumped over with head lower than her shoulders, at an almost flat elevation which could cause aspiration, her legs not positioned properly or repositioned every couple hours. Once time we came in the room and her feeding tube was not connected to her and the tube was put on the machine leaking all over the floor. The social workers are uncaring, and when they gave us little notice on discharge, I challenged it and was treated with such disrespect almost like I was a criminal. The 2 women we dealt with should not be social workers, they do not care. They simply push paper. No one cared, I had multiple meetings with DON, the kindred director who is very young, and QA. Nothing I advised them of was addressed. I would highly recommend you do not bring your family member her no one cares it’s just about how much money they can make from your loved one being there.

I waited a few months before writing this review of Kindred and its staff. During my uncle’s stay at Kindred prior to his passing, the care he received was truly impeccable. Nicole Pierrot and Nathalie Valles treated my uncle like family and ensured he was always well cared for. Kyla made my family feel prioritized, supported, and valued every step of the way. My uncle was consistently checked on, and the entire team, ncluding the nursing staff, was incredibly compassionate. Jeanine, in particular, stood out for her kindness and genuine care. They made my uncle feel safe, loved, and at peace during his final days. I would recommend this facility to everyone including my family.

Our family has had a very positive experience with Kindred Hospital. My father is currently there, and the level of care and attention he’s receiving has been truly reassuring during a stressful time. The staff is compassionate, professional, and genuinely attentive to his needs. I especially want to recognize Mariya, who has been absolutely amazing. She is incredibly responsive, kind, and always willing to help or answer questions. Her dedication and care make a real difference, and it means so much to our family. Thank you to the entire Kindred team for taking such good care of my father. We are very grateful

My mother was admitted to Kindred Hospital’s sub-acute care twice and during both visits the staff were very attentive, accommodating and supportive. This goes for the nursing staff, the nursing aides, physical therapists and even the cleaning staff. The case workers, Kyla and Shoshana are both wonderful, supportive and a wealth of information. Their kindness makes it easy for a family to understand the process of their loved-one’s care and they are easy to communicate with. Thank you all for everything!
