Thank you to the kind and caring staff at Huntington Drive health and rehabilitation center for helping my mother recover from a recent fall. The facility provided great support with physical therapy, wound care, medication regulation, and social servivces that all contributed to her recovery. The transition from the Arcadia hospital to Huntington Drive was very smooth by the administrative staff, with Elise being the first to reach out, and then others. The entire physical therapy staff under the leadership of Karly were kind and compassionate and made the appropriate accommodations for my mother's hearing loss and moods. With their consistency my mother was able to follow directions and progress and be successful with physical therapy. She is now stronger and walking. Thank you. In addition the nursing staff and care givers were always kind and courteous even when my mother presented them with extreme challenges. Nurse Jericho and Marlin were helpful with communicating for me with her doctor for me to request appropriate care and medication regulation. Also many other nurses and assistants were patient and consistently kind as they provided daily care to my mother; Jennifer, "D", Letty, Jocelyn, and My'chael. During visits I observed Jocelyn and My'chael being very kind and caring. Many other nurses and staff members were also kind and caring, I just dont recall their names at the moment. I would also like to acknowledge Virginia and Ariel of the social services department. Virginia and Ariel were always friendly and helpful when I visited. They are knowledgeable, and were always available to give me updates and assistance with paper work and options for my mother after her planned discharge. They also helped arrange transportation out of the area for my mother's discharge. I appreciate all the assistance Virginia and Ariel provided. I cannot say enough about all aspects of the Huntington Drive Health and Rehab Center. However, there are some staff members that were EXCEPTIONAL! Certified Nursing Assistants Imelda and Laura were amazing! Tasked daily with caring for so many patients, they remained so patient and caring with our Mom. As our Mom grew stronger, Imelda and Laura also assisted her to do more and build on the skills she learned during the physical/occupational therapy sessions. The rehabilitation staff was outstanding! They worked with our Mom daily, at times during which she was at her optimal energy level and helped our Mom regain her confidence and ability to walk with a walker. The PT/OT team, namely Alvin, Jason, Jimmy, Kathlyn, Melissa, Selena and Veronica, always took the time to give clear and concise instructions to our Mom, which was crucial, as she has dementia. The rehab staff also welcomed visitors into the gym, which helped our family learn how to properly communicate with our Mom. Lastly, the administrative team of Case Manager Mae Joy and Rehab Supervisor Karly went above and beyond to ensure our Mom received the amount of care she needed and the critical equipment for her transition home. Our family is so grateful to ALL these wonderful people at the HDHRC. There is no doubt that each and every one of them was instrumental in helping our Mom get to a point where she could return home. Do not take or leave your elderly in this place!!! My 93 yr old Aunt was there just temporary from Aug 2025 til Dec 7,2025 to recover from surgery. If she had a physical complaint due to pain she was ignored. Nor did they tell me I was allowed to take her to her doctors or to bring her clothes to wear. She was in a hospital gown from Aug to Dec. Sick. The house Dr G was a ridiculous incompetent physician he told me I could call him at anytime he gave me his office number and when I did his office staff was rude and never gave him my messages I told Ms.V in Social Service and did nothing I told the Head of nursing they did nothing. My aunt was brought home to live with me in Northern Ca she was with me 3.5 months she died on April 1,2026 in agony the excruciating pain that she was in it was unbelievable to watch my beloved aunt go through this unbearable pain. No human being should have to go through this nor the family. Huntington Drive needs a wake up call and I will be reporting them to the board of health and medical board. They need intense investigation. They took my aunt money from Medicare. It's disgusting. All those poor patients all alone with no one...at least my aunt had me to be her voice now! The highlight in this place was Physical therapy. Stay away from this place at all cost!!

I want to start by acknowledging that some of the people who work here are genuinely good at what they do. The physical therapists were excellent, and a few of the nurses showed real care and professionalism. I also want to specifically mention Elise on the administrative team—she was consistently kind, helpful, and compassionate. Unfortunately, that is where the positives end. This facility is completely disorganized and feels unsafe. There appears to be no meaningful security in place. There is a back door where people freely walk in and out, and no one ever seems to check who they are or whether they belong there—even when they are clearly not staff. Communication is abysmal. On one occasion, I called the front reception desk repeatedly over a 45-minute period. Roughly 80% of the time, no one answered. The remaining times, someone picked up and immediately hung up. When I finally reached the receptionist and explained what had been happening, he responded rudely and dismissively, saying, “It’s probably one of our patients.” When I expressed concern that patients were answering the phones, he ignored the issue entirely and repeatedly asked what I wanted, without acknowledging the seriousness of the situation. There was also a complete lack of accountability when it came to my father’s personal belongings. Several items of his clothing went missing during his stay, and despite repeated inquiries, the facility was unable to locate any of them. With randomers coming in and out with no checks in place, I'm not surprised to see things are going missing. Equally troubling is the lack of supervision and care. Staff frequently sit outside smoking while patients are left alone in their rooms—or in bed—for hours at a time, with little to no check-ins. The environment itself is unhygienic and unacceptable for a healthcare setting: urinals left on the floor, crumbs and debris throughout common areas, and an overall sense of neglect. Once I fully understood how my father was being treated, I moved him out immediately. I would strongly advise against placing a loved one here. No one should be left in such conditions, especially during a vulnerable time when proper care, safety, and dignity matter most.
