I have been employed with HomeCare Montana for 2 years. Being in healthcare for over 40 years, and this is hands down my favorite job. Thank you for allowing me the ability to care for and support the people that need help at home. “There is no place like home.”

"If a rotator cuff repair has been performed, the arm must be used only with the elbow at the side and only for very gentle activities. It is important that the repaired tendons not be challenged until they have had a chance to heal. Usually the patient is asked to lift nothing heavier than a cup of coffee (with the elbow at the side) for the first three months after the surgery. Management of these limitations requires advance planning to accomplish the ADL during the period of recovery. Patients usually require some assistance with self-care, shopping and driving for about three months after surgery. Patients usually go home 2 to 3 days post-op, when the home support systems are in place, or if such help can be arranged through an agency. In the absence of home support, a convalescent facility may provide a safe environment for recovery. With effort, progress can continue for as long as a year." *****When I contacted them PRIOR to my surgery, I was told they can't start the paperwork until After(?) it's done. When I got home, the day of surgery, and called them the next day, the nightmare began. It took more than 6 Weeks to complete the paperwork and all the interviews before I got any help. I am 71 y.o., and those 6 weeks did not go well at all. My surgeon was not happy. Paperwork was lost, nurses were busy, and I was extremely distressed and tearful beyond measure. My health declined physically and mentally; I burned myself and broke dishes trying to fend for myself with my one non-dominant arm. I re-injured it, and after going through this horrible experience, I am very hesitant to have the surgery done again. I have no idea what to do. With this inadequate healthcare system, it's no wonder seniors are being left to manage on their own. What a sad country we have here, and the gov't wants to take even more help away from what's already a callous indifference. Know this beforehand, so your expectations won't be too high, like mine were, because apparently this is all we've got to help us struggle through our end years.

I think they could care less about clients at least they don’t really do anything to help the Billings clients. They just continue to give the same excuse over and over again why shifts are not covered then laugh about it. Personally I would give it a zero if I could.
