My mom is there and they awesome with her. Great caring staff and feels like a home. I would choose this setting for myself if I needed assisted care.

A year ago I made the hard decision to place my brother in a facility. Luckily I decided on Home and Comfort. The staff is amazing and even though he was upset about leaving his home he is doing very well. It took a while for him to adjust but he loves it there now. The staff actually seem to enjoy being there too. The stress of being his caregiver is gone and now I have a normal brother/sister relationship with him. I’m so thankful for Home and Comfort.

Like many parents my mom never wanted to be in a nursing home. When our family was unable to care for her any longer we were heartbroken. 💔 My mom was admitted into Home and Comfort in Coleraine Mn. She was able to walk with her walker and was verbal. Our concern was what happens if her condition deteriorates? Home and Comfort promised this could be her home until she passed even through hospice care if necessary. My mom lived in Home and Comfort for about 6 years. I am a nurse and had high expectations of the facility that would care for her. I have to say Home and Comfort did not let us down. They had activities for the residents and my mom made friends and it did become her home. The staff were exceptionally kind, caring and thoughtful. My mother passed away at Home and Comfort with dignity and was well cared for until the end. I highly recommend Home and Comfort. ❤️

It is never easy to move a parent out of their home and into an assisted living facility, but Home and Comfort is a hidden gem in Northern Minnesota that lives up to its name. It has a home-like feel and offers a wide range of professional care and comfort to residents in a nurturing and respectful way. My father (with dementia) recently passed, but he lived there for over three years and I cannot speak highly enough of the care he received. Over that entire span, I observed ALL of the staff with smiling and upbeat attitudes provide conscientious and compassionate care ALL of the time to ALL of the residents. They genuinely treat everyone like family and work hard to assist families of residents at this most difficult stage of life. I was impressed by the cleanliness throughout the whole facility and the responsiveness of the staff when residents activated their call buttons. The home-cooked meals were always great and tailored to the needs of each person living there. Resident safety was never an issue. There are activities like exercise, bingo, crafts, movies, and music for residents as well. Anytime our family had a question or a problem to solve that was related to our dad's care, staff went over-and-above to help us. I've worked in Nursing Homes, and know that staff turnover can be problematic, but many of the employees have worked there a long time - which speaks highly of the work environment and dedication there. So if you are looking for a personal-feeling, and nurturing environment for someone you love, in a place you can trust, then I would highly recommend that you stop for a tour and check it out.

My elderly and frail sister resided in this facility for about 6 months. My sister thrived while there!! She was able to get strong enough to no longer need a walker. She gained weight which she hadn't been able to do in years. She enjoyed the activities provided And the staff treated her with genuine love and affection. They are great!!
