I typically do not write reviews, but today was the last straw.

To visitors, the staff may seem friendly and attentive; however, that has not been our experience as family members of a patient. My grandmother has been in and out of this nursing home for years due to recurring urinary tract infections (UTIs) that often become severe enough to require hospitalization. Each time she is discharged from the hospital, she is sent back here.

Nearly every time I visit, she tells me she is hungry and has not eaten. There have also been occasions where I have walked into her room and found her partially naked with the door wide open, which is both upsetting and disrespectful to her dignity.

The facility is also kept quite cold, and my grandmother frequently complains about being uncomfortable. On multiple occasions, we have asked staff for additional blankets, only to be told that they are having trouble finding any. It is concerning that something as basic as keeping residents warm appears to be an ongoing issue.

My grandmother is unable to get up and use the restroom on her own. She relies on staff assistance and wears diapers as a result. Unfortunately, it is common for her to wait 30 minutes or longer for help after pressing the call button. There have been times when both she and her roommate have repeatedly called for assistance, and I have personally gone to the nurses' station to ask for help. Even after speaking directly with staff, we have still waited another 30 minutes or more for someone to respond. As a result, she is often forced to sit in soiled diapers or have an accident while waiting.

I understand that healthcare workers are busy and that staffing challenges exist, but this is especially concerning given my grandmother's history of severe UTIs. Just a few days ago, she began showing symptoms again and tested positive for another infection. Sitting in soiled briefs for extended periods can contribute to these issues. When she develops a UTI, it also affects her mental state and causes increased agitation and confusion.

What finally prompted me to write this review was what happened today. My grandfather was told that he should stop visiting her so frequently. To be clear, he is not there all day. He visits her once in the morning and once in the evening to check on her well-being and make sure her needs are being met.

If I cannot be confident that my grandmother is receiving proper care while family members are present and advocating for her, how am I supposed to feel comfortable leaving her without visitors after being asked to come less often?

Our family simply wants our grandmother to be treated with dignity, respect, and the level of care that every resident deserves.

My husband was placed here for pt and he suffers from dementia also. We loved the care he received from Ronda and Kristal! They helped make this 15 day stay pleasant and took great care of him. We never felt We were being a bother to these two. The pt staff was great and worked hard with Mike. Thanks to all there for helping us thru this rough patch of life.

My grandmother was here for a total of 2 days before we decided to pull her out. She was somehow sleeping all day, when she wanted a shower they were rude and rushed her. No one came to help any other elders here when asked. They did not give us any updates. I went to pick her up and it was 3pm, the nurses at the desk did not even look up at me. When asked where she was I was waiting for 5 minutes before getting the incorrect answer. Then, I watched them group around the nurses station and talk about gossip while a lady needed help. This place is awful and if you have loved ones here, get them out. I do not know about morning or night shift. They may be good. But at 3pm today, they were inattentive, rude, and not helpful. I was met with attitude when asked about medical records. The lady up front, I wish I knew her name, was the best and most helpful in my time here. Get rid of your mid shift and start from scratch.

We placed our loved one there based on the reviews. 4 and 5 star. The experience so far with the morning shift and overnight shift has been extraordinary. The most compassionate people. Nurses and CNAs work side by side and give an overall welcoming and they are there to help attitude. I love these people. Unfortunately the 2-10 mid shift staffing was not included in the past reviews. The nurse and the CNAs have the worst attitudes, I can Try to talk to them or ask a question and I can tell they hate their job by their responses, if I get a response. The nurse is full of sarcasm and very condensing. The DON here is amazing. I finally said something to her about my experience and it was a immediate change in the nurses attitude. I am posting my review so that hopefully anyone there having any uncomfortable experience will know that the issues are address promptly and change does happen.
