My Mother-in-law has been living at the Heywood Commons for 3 years and it was the best move we ever made having her there. From the initial visit to check out the facility we knew it was the best place for mom. The "entire" staff are great and take such good care of her we don't have to worry about her at all. We know she is getting good healthy meals and her medication regularly. Mom is very happy, has new friends and participates in all the activities from Bingo and Exercise class and entertainment as well. I would highly recommend Heywood Wakefield Commons to anyone considering it.

My Aunt recently moved to Heywood Wakefield Commons after living in an in-law apartment with her daughter and family for 34 years. I thought it would be a harder transition than it has been. I’ve visited her and listened to how busy she is and how nice everyone is. Her room is beautiful, the services are amazing, she truly loves it. We are all very thankful for this facility and the care they give the seniors that reside there. Thank you!

My Mom moved into Heywood Wakefield Commons in 2012 until she passed away. I cannot say enough about this facility. The atmosphere is positive and always with the safety of its residence coming first. Even though this is a difficult transition for people to leave their homes and move to this type of place the administration, staff and volunteer treat everyone with respect and dignity. I found that decisions were always made with the safety of its residence being the number one priority.

The Heywood Wakefield Commons facility is a fantastic "home setting" for people to enjoy in their Golden Years. My mom was a happy resident there for 8 years. All of the staff not only knew my mom's name, they new all of our family by name as well. We felt mom was safe, secure and very well taken care of. The only thing she had to think about, was what outfit to put on each day! No worries about meals, laundry, housekeeping and repairs. All taken care of. The very professional and caring staff includes OT, PT, foot care and nursing. An on-site hairdressing salon is loved by all. The social life at Heywood Commons is amazing. Just what every elderly person needs, to be surrounded by a caring staff and many new friends. Days are filled with parties, exercise sessions, outside group walks, parties, Peanut Auctions, entertainment , more parties and outside BBQs in the summer. Residents can get together in little groups for a game of cards, cribbage or just to chat. Everyday at 3:30 they can meet in the "Pub or Lounge" for companionship with a glass of wine or a glass ice cold beer before dinner. Delicious meals, all prepared on sight by amazing chefs and served in a comfy dining room setting, like a restaurant. I can't say enough about how the director, Tom. He takes the well being and safety of each and every resident as his first priority. Tom is readily available for family members to meet with and holds a morning coffee chat with residents once a week. Many times I heard residents say they thought their life was over until they moved into Heywood Commons. Now their lives are carefree, filled with happiness and joy every day. Just how the Golden years should be!

My husband and I cannot express enough how much we are pleased with my aunt's experience at Heywood- Wakefield. Theresa has resided in the community for over two years. In the beginning, she was very adamant that she was not going to move from our home. After one tour and dinner visit, she could not wait to move in, much to our relief. The staff is amazing, from the administration to the maintenance crew! She loves the activities and the social exposure; something that she would not participate in while living with us. The community has given her autonomy and independence, while still keeping her safe and monitored. As her closet family members, this has given us a comfort level whether we are in town or traveling. Knowing that she is happy and safe is life changing for us, and to her! My husband, a family doctor, feels so comfortable that he will often refer his patients to check out Heywood-Wakefield.
