I’m very impressed with the rehabilitation team here at Heritage. My brother is becoming stronger with every therapy session. He has constant monitoring of his overall health.. physically, mentally and spiritually. Thank you Heritage Team for all you do.

Words can't describe how satisfied we are with the care that my dad received at Heritage Rehabilitation. My dad suffered from a stroke and he went to Heritage after 1-month hospital stay. I want to write the name of every person that was helpful and supportive during our 1 month stay in the facility but this will take up the whole post because it's every single person. It all starts with great management from the coordinator of the facility. The administration employees were very supportive and worked as a team. The registered nurses were knowledgeable. They had medication nurses and wound care nurses. The CNAs who did the direct patient care were truly a gift. My dad was so happy and he called them "angels, not humans". They are so compassionate and caring. We felt that it was a family. We found out on our last day that it was a family-run facility. We felt part of this family. The therapists were very knowledgeable and encouraging. They worked at the level of acute rehab (more specialized rehab services than skilled nursing) or even better. Doctor U was a great advocate for my dad. The Heritage social worker was amazing. Everyone there was always smiling. Very clean facility as the cleaning crew did their rounds. The food service was great. There were few bonus perks that we experienced: a barber who was there once a week, recreation team with scheduled activities to help with mental stimulation, and a spiritual representation. Scheduled shower days. Mobility assistance without hesitation. Very compassionate. They have short-term and long-term programs. I have to say that one of our family members was there first thing in the morning until very late at night, every day. I noticed that they speak kindly with other patients who don't have family with them all the time. They have a call board with lights next to each nurse station. It's run like a hospital. We are so grateful for this gem in the Southbay. My dad will miss these great people and so will we. Keep doing the good work that you're doing and continue being a great support in this difficult time that the family and patient are going through. Thank you!

These 5 stars belong to Mr. Nestor Jimenea, Director of nursing. Mr. Jimenea is a rare gem for the Heritage rehabilitation center. He's an excellent director of nursing who possesses strong leadership skills, very effective communicator, and an excellent listener especially pertaining patients concerns and issues. He fosters very positive work environment and all his staff are almost always very courteous, kind and attentive. He has a strong clinical skills, and very passionate about his work.Mr Nestor Jimenea has a high degree of emotional intelligence! The Heritage Rehabilitation Center in Torrance is lucky to have him as Director of nursing because he is a strong advocate for patients and their families (especially for Geriatric, Palliative and Continuity of Care)

Five years ago I broke my pelvis and spent 5 days in Heritage. The staff were very kind. My friend just began her stay with Heritage and her family are very satisfied with it.

My mom was admitted to Heritage Rehabilitation Center to recover from a broken hip and spent two weeks at this facility. The staff are kind and caring and supportive. They helped my mom recover and assisted her with rehabilitation and gaining her strength back. Much gratitude for taking good care of her.
