Very good visit. Clean facility and most of the workers are extremely nice. Some at the desk just ignore you.

My grandfather has been here the past few years. For a while it was great. This past year has been horrendous. Lack of communication is becoming a thing. Also we, the family, provide his clothes, and do his laundry. The cna and nursing staff has been instructed to not let laundry team do his clothes, and what happened instead? Laundry team keeps taking his clothes and losing them. We are constantly having to replace pajamas, pants, shirts, etc. When you question anyone about it they point the finger at eachother instead of fixing the issue. We are getting very tired of this. They definitely give an impression of “I don’t care, I just work here.” This place has gone down hill and it’s been in the past year when they got new staff. Do better. If you can’t do better go work somewhere that requires less!

Most everyone was super pleasant and helpful. Very clean. Knew my loved one by name. They even went out of their way to help with something personal that needed to be fixed.

Today I was so pleased that my relative (cousin) seemed happier and more settled than she has been in a long time. I think she even gained weight. She needed to. My mom and mother in law were residents in the past and it was always good. Being a life-long resident of Ville Platte has its perks, so many personal friends who are employed there makes it easy to feel the warmth.

Our first day was sad but comforting for us as we put our dad in the facility. The staff was excellent attending to him and us. We had lots of questions which the staff answered or attended to promptly. Dad hadn’t had lunch and lunch had ended. The attendant who was seeing about dad went to the kitchen and she brought a meal to the room for him. The first day was a positive experience even through the sadness of having him admitted to Heritage Manor. The place was very clean and well kept. The only minus was the noise outside the door from the washing crew talking and laughing loudly.
