Have been here for a few days for rehab and so far everyone has been incredibly helpful and supportive to offer the best service possible. I would highly recommend this facility

Night staff not as helpful as day staff. Night staff not listening to family trying to advocate. Medical needs not met in a timely manner. False reporting on progress of patient leading to early discharge. Short staffed. Social worker attempted to retrieve elderly’s bank account information on a form any staff member has full access to with no liability. One hearing aide lost in shower and staff is not taking responsibility. Patient is certain the staff member took it off before showering. Family is out the money and has to buy a new set of hearing aides. No help exiting building with patient needing maximum assist with a walker.

Staff did not take care of my Grandpa like they should have. He has Stage 4 Kidney disease with one kidney not functioning and they didn’t catheterize him in a timely matter. This happened numerous times and some staff wouldn’t listen to my family when they advocated for him. Now, my grandma is taking him home because she doesn’t think he was getting the proper care he needs. (He also didn’t get one-on-one rehab several times and my grandma had to insist he did. He was there for rehab not group exercise.) Insurance will no longer pay and she doesn’t want to pay nearly $600 a day for mediocre care. He isn’t ready to come home, but the notes on my grandpa make it look like he is doing better than he is. It is really sad how elderly get pushed around because insurance does not want to pay the 100 days they are supposed to pay. I am really worried about my grandpa. Having said all this, there are some amazing staff there.

It’s never easy to recover from an injury or severe illness. My time at Heartwood Lodge was met with caring and efficient aides, nurses and staff. The therapists were attentive; their methods effective and even fun. The sense of community offered a friendly atmosphere of belonging. I enjoyed making new friends as I worked to achieve my goals of recuperation. The meals were good, varied and creative. I would choose to return here if I had another health crisis and recommend it highly to anyone facing the need for therapeutic intervention. Thank you to all the staff for your help, service and support.

Absolutely the best skilled care facility I the area! The aides and nursing staff are caring and supportive. The Physical Therapy department is great; they push you to get stronger and better support your future. The food is nutritious and delicious, and the administration is there to answer any and all questions. Top notch all around.
