My father has been here since October of 2024. I dont recommend this place. It's a hit or miss on if the front desk will answer or if you'll ever get a call back because I've left many messages, and nothing has happened, and no one has called back. I have to usually keep calling until someone answers or hope that by the time I get there after work that someone is there. It seems like they only have one social worker for the entire place, which causes problems, and its not entirely their fault, but things aren't getting done because of it. Occasionally, I'll find another place and ask for a referral to be sent, and they always tell me they did it when, in fact, they didn't...nothing was ever sent... for example I had asked for a referral to be sent for my dad to go to another place on april 27th they told me it was sent on the 28th but when i called the other place they had nothing and then when i called hawthorne back they said they didnt send anything and for almost about 2 weeks I have been calling and leaving messages and waiting for call backs or for one to be sent and ive been talking to them and i waited and that referral was never sent. Now, the room at the new place is unavailable, and it almost feels like the referral was not sent on purpose. This isn't even the first time this has happened with me asking for referrals to be sent that never actually get sent.. Some of the nurses and people there are kind, and that's probably the only redeemable part of this place, specifically CNA Sonia and nurse Bonnie and front desk avaniza. They are the few kind people there... My father has had a cna curse at him and use a horrible bedside manner with him. On his bathing days, it's a hit or miss on if that gets performed. He has sat waiting to be changed for over 20mins and when I stood out in the hallway we had 3 CNAs walk past who I asked for help from and they said no his CNA is in another room... usually, I let that slide because sometimes during shift change or meals, I understand that no one can come help until after, but this wasn't the case this day.. This didn't get fixed until his nurse walked by and saw me there, and finally, they came over to help because his nurse was involved.. but this isn't the first time... ive had to change my dad several times myself when visiting there because when we pressed the call button, no one came even after 20-30mins and I'm not talking about during meal times or shift change.. Some of the workers are rude, and others just seem to not care about their job or people anymore... but again, there are a few good cna and nurses, but it sucks they can't be there 24/7, so the few rotten ones seep in. My main issues are that no one does what they say they will or call you back and the customer service just isnt there sometimes. Good luck ever getting in touch with anyone via email or phone from here because it doesn't happen. Every other place I've called everyone has been kind and helpful this place is full of the attitude that they don't seem to care or want to help. I will continue to call and try and get my dad elsewhere when I can because this place is not what we are looking for, but unfortunately, it is where we are at for now.

It is not a good place to to put your love ones they don’t care about your family life all they want is a pay check and talk at the nurses station they are not given my mother the care she needs her blood pressure is 220 and the doctor ordered a shot to bring it down and no one gave it to her went there found her with the same diaper that they put on her when she went to bed she had it on all day. Someone needs to investigate that place before I sue them.

Word to the wise, if you have a loved one living in this facility and you care about them, get them out as quickly as you can. My mom has Alzheimer's disease and was regrettably admitted to this facility for a temporary stay because she broke her foot in three places. During her short stay of about 4 weeks, she obtained diarrhea, lost almost 40 pounds and her foot became infected because the facility did not follow doctor's order and remove the staples. They were not assisting her by helping her get into the shower so she had dried feces from her diarrhea, down her leg and into the staples which held together her incision. We believe this is why her foot has become infected. Also during her short stay, her clothes were stolen out of her room which to my understanding is an issue with this facility. Bottom line, if you care about your loved one, look elsewhere.

I joined a friend to visit the apartment she is moving to. Very clean friendly place. No sterile clean smell as you enter. Nice comfortable setting in numerous places. Quick small area when you enter the building which offers water, coffee, sodas, etc. Employees are very friendly and helpful. There seems to be regular activities you can partake in. Seems like a nice surrounding for your retirement living.

Hawethorne Estates has a warm, caring atmosphere. It's decorated beautifully, super clean with a wide variety of activities for our loved one's to enjoy each and every day. The dining room offers choices of very tasty meals that are served restaurant style or if one would rather choose a sandwich or snack they are also available. And best of all it has independent living, assisted living, a Rehab and nursing home all in one location so there's no concern with once again uprooting your loved one.
