Won’t answer my calls when I’m trying to pay my bill, won’t answer my calls when I’m trying to dispute something on my bill.. Can someone actually bother to pick up the phone?????? OH and the online payment system is still down!!!

Take forever at discharge and it stinks. The nurses are kind in the ped ward treated my toddler like a princess . Sad they have to work in that stinky environment even they are giving there best.

I went in the ER recently because of a pregnancy bleed and the ER nurses and doctors were very kind and reassuring during my time of panic. The ER discharge staff, however, was extremely rude and lack any sort of empathy. They asked me if it was my first child (which it is) and then proceeded to tell my husband and I to “just try again because we had plenty of time”. Shortly after we settled our bill, they gave us our papers and the staff member told us to “get busy before we see them in three weeks.” WORD FOR WORD. Under no circumstance should any expecting parents ever hear from any medical staff to just “try again and get busy” while actively in a situation of possibly losing their child. If there were more options for healthcare on the island that catered to pregnant mothers, GMH wouldn’t even be an option for us

The current discharge process and procedures are significantly inefficient. I am currently waiting in the ER after already spending three hours, despite having discussed the discharge summary with the doctor. For military members, please consider alternative options for emergency care, as staff were unclear why this hospital was chosen, given there are other facilities available on the island.

After an unfortunate fall on her scooter, my two year needed stitches asap so we rushed over to GMH and had nothing but a pleasant experience. The staff was very friendly and patient with my toddler. They were efficient and tried to make her comfortable. We were in and out in about two hours after getting the discharge paperwork.
