Golden State Care Homes; Caring, clean, comfortable and safe. When it comes time to find a place for your loved one, the stress level, guilt and frustration can be overwhelming. Golden State Care Homes was recommended by a care facility in Roseville in November 2024. The day I came to tour Sophia's home, I knew this would be where I wanted my mom to be, I felt right at home and knew she would too. What stood out? Caring and meaningful questions/conversations with Sophia about my parent and her needs felt relaxed and natural. This is a newer home that has been modified to meet the standards set for elderly care and safety and is very clean, clutter free and aesthetically pleasing; temperature was just right, the natural light inside the bedrooms/living room/kitchen/dining room is warm and relaxing. Special guest musicians have performed for the residents on a regular basis and exercise/games are always a part of each day; the supersize gorgeous back yard for walking and enjoying the sun is amazing. Sophia has a nursing background and is knowledgeable, organized and has excellent communication, as well as her staff. My mother has been very comfortable since the day she moved in and continues to tell me how much she loves it. Making decisions like this for your loved one is not easy however, I am completely 1000% sure this was the right choice for us, I have no fears or guilt, and mom is clean, comfortable and safe and the care level is beyond my expectations. It feels like home, because it is home. Thank you, Sophia, for your kindness and caring; you make us feel like family- and that's a GREAT heartwarming feeling!

My husband & I visited several homes in one day. This was the first one we visited. None of the other homes compared to this home. After viewing each one, we would look at each other and say, "The first one we saw is still the one!" It was bright, sunny, cheerful, and the owner, Sophia was so very kind. She is a nurse which I greatly appreciated that fact. Our Mom fell 3 weeks prior & cracked a rib. Knowing she was a nurse, I knew she would be in great hands. Another great plus was that they are devout Catholics and are members of the same church as our Mom. We really felt this was a perfect fit for our mom. We took mom to visit the place and meet Sophia. She served us all our Mom's favorite Mac 'n Cheese. Her hubby is the chef! It was delicious! His specialty is ribs & brisket! The ribs were absolutely fantastic. As she is the first person in this brand new facility, she had the pick of which room she wanted. We met her husband and I was so touched that he wanted to pray with us. He thanked God for growing his family this afternoon. He thanked God for the honor of His allowing them to care for our loved one. And he asked God to help heal her and give her strength. This truly touched my heart! She has been there for a week now. I called a few hours after she was moved in. She had eaten dinner which she said was delicious. She'd seen the first 49er game of the season! And she got to meet Sophia's family. I could literally hear the smile in our Mom's voice! Just being around people was a great start for her! She is eating 3 healthy meals a day and drinking more water than she was when she was living alone. She says all the meals are delicious, but too much food for one sitting for her! We see her strength returning. She is monitored with her oxygen and wearing it almost 24/7 which we think is helping immensely overall. She is taking her meds regularly. She has even taken a couple of walks around the backyard! We have met some of the caregivers. They truly care about what they are doing for her. If you are looking for a care home for your loved one/s, I would definitely recommend Golden State Care Homes.
