This current review is to specifically shout out a few of the angels that have continuously provided excellent professional care to my Mom (and all patients) with love and respect. Thank you Preanna, Abby, Yvonne, Tamira, Catherine, Erica (rehab team), and Mitzi!<br><br>My Mom has been a long-term care patient at GHCRH for almost three years, and as is to be expected, we have had many ups and downs depending on her own health needs, changes in management and turnover in staff. However, I am truly grateful for these particular administrators, nurses, rehab team members and CNAs. They have consistently taken pride in the care they provide and do their best with the resources they have to ensure all residents and short term patients are safe and treated with respect.<br><br>They have shown my Mother and myself great kindness in more ways than I can count over the years. They work long hours and put up with challenges every day that most couldn’t handle. It is shameful how they are at times yelled at or mistreated by patients and family members - it is too often a thankless job, and the ones that are there just to collect a paycheck and do the bare minimum make their jobs harder.<br><br>It takes a special human to do what they do for our family members, and I just can’t imagine where we’d be today without the ongoing committed support these folks provide day-in and day-out to ensure my Mother is as safe and comfortable as possible given her bed-ridden state. So while no nursing / long-term care facility is perfect, I am grateful for these angels and for the many others unnamed or behind the scenes that also go above and beyond to care for our loved ones.
