In 2013 my mother went in there for supposedly an 11-day stay. She went in with all the symptoms of mild to medium dementia but she had gone in for physical therapy. This 11 days became 6 months she immediately went from mile to medium dementia to advanced dementia overnight. I was in a constant fight with administration over why this was happening. had I not been there to fight for her she would never have left that place and would not still be alive today. I had many fights with physical therapy occupational therapy and administration. They locked her in a dementia unit which they had promised that if she got better she could be back in the regular area however that promise was not kept and the continuously refused to acknowledge when she did get better and boldly stated that people with dementia and Alzheimer's do not get better therefore she could not get better and that was their attitude. I was also treated with a total disrespect by occupational therapy supervisors. I would not send anybody to that place. Also upon trying to get my mother out of there and into another nursing home I discovered that places that had openings suddenly did not have any openings due to communication with this facility. my mother did not start to get any better until I started getting her out for outings and got the medications lowered and changed. It is my belief she may have been over medicated to the point of obtaining serotonin syndrome while she was there. I recommend never allowing anybody you care about to be there
