The overall Google rating sits at 3.2 from 60 reviews, reflecting this mixed picture.

  • Staff report good pay, benefits, and 401(k)
  • Flexible shift scheduling praised by employees
  • Opportunities for ongoing training and certification cited
  • Multiple caregivers say they returned or referred family members

The Bad

  • One detailed report of inadequate training before client placement
  • One account describes poor communication during a client hospitalization
  • One report of a neglect concern not being properly addressed
  • Most reviews come from staff, not client families, limiting care-quality insight

All staff members are either Certified Nursing Assistants, Home Care Aides, or Registered Nurses employed as W-2 employees with full benefits. Many caregivers complete in-house Home Care Aide Certification Training and pass the Department of Health certification exam. Care providers are available 24 hours per day, seven days per week, with flexible shift lengths generally starting at 3 to 4 hours, though shorter arrangements can be made.

Founded in 1999, First Choice In-Home Care is contracted with Seattle Aging and Disability Services, Pierce County Community Connections, and Snohomish County Aging and Disabilities Division. As a contracted agency, the organization maintains high standards and undergoes three audits annually to ensure compliance with state requirements. The agency serves over 4,500 clients annually and provides more than 1.5 million service hours throughout the region.

The company serves individuals recovering from illness or injury, those living with chronic disabilities, and those navigating the aging process. A free in-home assessment determines individual needs and care preferences, with the matching process typically taking from a few hours to three or more days depending on care requirements.

Was made for their van location but they all have issues so....If You Don't See Much reviews from this choice of business it's because they redid their Google review and now all their Past reviews for the last few years are gone So I've been waiting to make a review but honestly this place isn't just unreliable. They do things illegally they try to make you work without any training try to press assure you into situations you cannot handle . And then make you feel bad because they cannot communicate clients to you properly and then when you look through the information you realize oh I communicated I do not feel comfortable driving people but this is a client that wants to have rides. Including one of my clients having to get hospitalized and they would not communicate what is happening . Or an update on his health. They kept postponing my training and then trying to force me to work. Minimum hours and then they tried to push me to go out of my comfort zone after I fully communicated what my availabilities are/ aren't. Made to feel guilty by those who watch over /manage the clients . But half the time they would have me work the phones would be down by the time I start so if there's any emergency situations when I try to call my higher up she would never answer none of them would and I've had multiple watch over different cases and was made to dial 911.. Not including the hostility negativity and passive aggressiveness. Why even hire someone if you're just going to complain and cause drama when you agreed to the availability and being workable in the first place. Oh that's right because you hired me on the spot and you didn't even care if I had proper training all I did was watch videos and I had to wait months to be able to do properly legal training that was then pushed out twice for "construction " without communication or even contacting me to ask if I was open for another area also doing the training. Then it also took a while to even be able to get paid ....3 weeks to a month at least for my first paycheck. Then they would get mad at me and communicate me to do illegal care techniques . Where to just do what I'm told if I want my job but you were the one hiring me on the spot and then try to be weird about it... trying to do things illegally .. lack of communication.... **not even mention I had to report one of my clients as neglect case being harmed mentally physically and more having money stole from his sister who was legal caretaker ** All they did was gasp when I told then like teenagers at the high-school table being told drama.... someone's life was at risk and all you could care about was the drama... they didn't even do anything and he was forced to continue with that result until I quit. From all I know he could be dead or still being abused. Being pressured to do his sister's clean up work and not his care on top of it while being video taped and recorded in someone's house. Accused of touching or moving things that were hers. Threatening to watch the videos and if she saw something she would do something about it but would not say what... I would communicate all of this and more to my higher ups to be dismissed. Tossex around and only communicated when it was convenient for them I felt like I had to do their job half the time to get in contact with someone constantly waiting on hold. Or for a call back. But keep in mind I had to call on hour that were convenient and when I was not working since when I clocked in at worked... the place of business has already closed by then.. In my client told me he had before me caretakers who were on drugs or would steal money from him... which is very unfortunate however make sense worth how this business is managed that they would not actually care about the clients at hand but the making of the business as a whole and getting money from them or good reviews ... Probably since they dont have much yikes

I have worked with First Choice for over two years now, and I highly recommend it to both clients and caregivers. During my time here, I've experienced a supportive, professional, and compassionate environment that truly prioritizes quality care. I've had such a positive experience that two of my family members have since joined the company as well. We all appreciate the sense of teamwork, respect, and reliability that First Choice demonstrates every day. It's a place where caregivers feel valued and supported, and where clients can receive high-quality care.

I used to work for them in 2016. Now I’m back working for them in 12/2025. They are a great agency to work for. They have a variety of shifts to choose from and it’s easy to get ahold of the case manager. The staff are compassionate, friendly and knowledgeable. They have medical benefits, 401(k), and good pay. I highly recommend First Choice In-home Care.
