I recently had the opportunity to visit Firesteel Healthcare, and I was truly impressed by the level of care and professionalism from the entire team. The facility was exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and welcoming from the moment I walked in. The staff were attentive, compassionate, and always willing to help. It was clear they genuinely care about their residents and work hard to create a positive and comfortable environment. Everyone I encountered was friendly, responsive, and treated residents with dignity and respect. It’s reassuring to see a Skilled Nursing Facility that takes such pride in both cleanliness and quality care. I would absolutely recommend Firesteel Healthcare to anyone looking for a supportive and caring environment for their loved one.

Truly one of the worst nursing homes. They ignore calls outright and are extremely rude. The manager and head of nursing are horrible to deal with. Some put on a facade of kindness but as soon as you make a complaint, you're told the resident is 'crazy' and a liar. They have put my loved one in very uncomfortable positions more than once. His health and comfort come last. Avoid this place! Update: My dad recently passed away. He developed sepsis while under Firesteel's care and it was only discovered when he went to an Orthopedic Clinic for an appointment. He was in and out of consciousness that morning and Firesteel ignored his symptoms. Thank goodness for Avera sending him on to the ER. At least I got an extra month with him but that’s not saying much. Do not trust your precious loved one here.

My grandpa resides at Firesteel & the care he receives has been compassionate & dedicated. During his bad days, they pay close attention to his pain & create a solid care plan to make him comfortable. On his good days, the team is always around to boost his spirits, listen to his stories, and make him feel at home. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Firesteel for any of my loved one’s future care!

Choosing a place to send your loved ones, is a difficult decision. You can rest assure that they will be cared for greatly at Firesteel. The staff here, gets to know the residents on a personal level and not view them as a person that they just need to take care of. They do an excellent job with comminuting the needs to the frailly. I want to thank all of you for the excellent, compassionate care you all provided for the residents at Firesteel!

Almost a year ago I had to move my parents from assisted living to a long term care facility. I wanted to have them as close to Sioux Falls as possible but was unable to find anyplace in a 50 mile radius. I was very hesitant about moving them 70 miles away but I did end up moving them to Firesteel. Little did I know at the time that this is where they were meant to be! Firesteel is wonderful facility. The staff is amazing!! They treat my parents with a kindness and respect that is amazing. My parents are incredibly happy there which makes it much easier to be 70 miles apart. I feel so very blessed to have found such a wonderful home for them. I visit as often as I can but when I can't be there, I know they are being well taken care of.
