Sadly, our dear stepmother only required care for 5 weeks before her passing. We couldn’t be happier that we hired Family Resource Home Care. They provided an awesome care team including Mary, Patricia, Mirtha, and MaryJuliet. The family all lives out of state, but we spent a great deal of time visiting during that 5-week period so we got to know each member of the care team and watch them work. Our stepmother was very reluctant to have somebody in her home 24 hours a day. The trained care team put her right at ease, and she quickly adjusted to somebody bringing her coffee and donuts (very favorite food) each morning and to the smiles and support with all of her needs. Patricia was the first and she trained us on what we should expect and how best to prepare the house for full time overnight care in the home. This was most helpful. We saw our dear loved one laugh and smile. They gave us peace of mind while we were at home and while visiting, we were able to focus on quality time with our loved one, rather than taking care of all the things that needed to be done. We were able to say goodbye. They held up the family while most importantly holding up our loved one. At a very difficult end of life period, our wonderful care team provided calm, joy, patience, and loving care when we needed it most. We can’t thank Family Resource Home Care enough for the gift of a peaceful ending to a long life.

We have used Family Resource Home Care for over the past year to help our 90 year old mom age in place. Our needs started small, with just twice a week for four hours each day to assist in tasks around the house, cooking, etc. Over the year, as mom's health declined and her needs became greater and more challenging, Family Resources was quick to respond to our needs with capable and caring caregivers. They did a stellar job of matching caregivers to mom's needs at every stage of life, up to the end when she needed 24/7 care in her home, on hospice. The caregivers were dedicated, knowledgeable, responsible and caring. I most highly recommend Family Resource Home Care.

Update: The below was already a 5-star review, and now I wish there were more stars I could add. It was a mad scramble to arrange 24 hour care, at a higher level of support, for my mom - Jennifer and the whole Family Resource team went into overdrive to make it happen. Every one of the caretakers was wonderful, caring and skilled. I’m so thankful for you and all of the support! ———————— We’ve been really happy with the support and quality of care at Family Resource. We’ve had two different people for extended periods of time and both were excellent. And when we had some urgent changes and needed more support, Family Resource scrambled to get people there. Once we found a terrific match for my mom in Yuritzia, Family Resource adjusted things on their end to get her consistently scheduled.

I worked for this company as a caregiver and had ongoing concerns with how client care was handled. Shifts were often left without a backup caregiver when someone couldn’t show up, which put both clients and staff in really difficult positions. There were repeated issues with caregivers not showing up for scheduled visits, and clients not getting the consistent care they were promised. The agency fails to notify clients and caregivers when shifts are canceled, leaving some clients without care and in unacceptable conditions. There is a serious lack of accountability. Office staff are very rude when asked about shift coverage, and when I raised questions about my pay I was repeatedly promised a call back that never came. I still have not received a call back about missing pay. On top of that, I was shorted on wages and had earned bonus pay removed before I could cash it out. These concerns were raised multiple times and were not addressed. Caregivers and clients deserve better. I have been with them for 8 months.
