Family Care - El Mar Home is an assisted living community in Mission Viejo, California, offering daily living assistance including bathing, dressing, grooming, and nutritious meals, along with dementia care. The homes aim to foster friendships and meaningful experiences for residents.

Trained staff administer physician-prescribed medications, monitor residents' health, and coordinate visits from doctors, nurses, physical therapists, and dentists as needed. Nutrition is tailored to each resident's needs, with menus updated monthly using fresh recipes, and staff receive cooking classes to help create a home-like experience.

The community's original home was recently renovated and is located near Mission Viejo Mall and Mission Hospital. It features an open floor plan, an aviary, and a sunlit back patio. Another home, a California Craftsman-style residence, has a front yard with fruit trees, a greenhouse and aviary in the backyard, and is near shops, restaurants, City Hall, and the local library.

The most popular home is in Nellie Gail Ranch, a neighborhood surrounded by horses and scenic trails. Residents can relax on a fully covered patio with garden views and the sight of passing horses.

Owners and administrators Russ and Ginger have operated Family Care for 30 years, and Tommy and Mary Tran have served as Administrator and Chef since 2021. Many staff members have been with the organization since it began in 1995.
