If I could rate this establishment truly and honestly I would give it no stars. No honorable mentions. The state of the building is never what it could be. The atmosphere is heavily lacking for enrichment and activities for the residents. Only a handful of nurses that are employed here actually have outstanding bedside manner and are approachable. The staff as a whole have such a low morale and it shows through the residents. The food is either served cold, burnt or inedible. I will say the physical therapy team does an incredible job and really do work with your loved ones to get them back to their old selves and make their way back home. This place has been a part of our community for a very long time and I just believe they could do more for the residents and from what I hear around the grape vine their staff as well. Do your research before considering this facility fit for your loved ones.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. I just recently made a trip from East Syracuse NY to this facility to check on my mother. She was put here at the beginning of may for rehabilitation and I was totally amazed at the care and compassion this staff shows to all of the patients. After experiencing the nursing home in my area, I was preparing myself on my 13 hour drive to see my mother. I was beyond shocked. Syracuse NY could really learn a thing or two from this facility and definitely could use the work ethic and compassion this staff shows. All of the staff is great, but of course there are some that just are an asset to this facility. Jessica Riley is the most amazing CNA I have ever seen. Her compassion, knowledge, and work ethic is unlike any I have ever seen. She is truly exceptional and a major asset to this facility. The rehabilitation staff Theresa and Kate are also a major asset to this facility. They truly care about these patients and are dedicated to ensuring that the patient meets their goals. They are exceptional with my mother and I am so adamantly confident that they will have her up and walking and stronger and healthier than she has been in years!! In which I will be eternally grateful! Like I said in the beginning of this review I would give this place 10 stars if I could. I drove home 13 hours feeling secure and relieved that my mother is in such great hands of incredible people.

Staff are friendly! Facility has recently been remodeled and looks very nice. They are connected to the hospital which also makes it easier if you have a loved one that needs dialysis, as the Hospital has in-house dialysis! I give this facility a 5 star :)

I really didn’t think a nursing home could be this disgusting but what do you know it can. Sewer flies swarming my brother, swarming his tiny glass of water and food. Wash cloths that we had to ask for after he had been there for nearly 3 days that were tan they were so stained and disgusting. His radiator cover falling off and almost in the floor. No signs up that he was blind. He had NOTHING in his room actually, no tooth brush, nothing. His bag from the hospital was just shoved in a closet untouched. Numerous staff saying oh no we haven’t been feeding him, we weren’t told he was blind. RN saying oh this is my first day in a few days, typical pass the buck syndrome. He was dehydrated, no joke he’s going to be when no one takes the time to help him drink. He never had a pitcher of water by his bed. He had been hospitalized with a severe UTI. Do you think fluids were very important? He’s gone now, and I am so very thankful he doesn’t have to suffer in this disgusting place any longer. How it passes ANY inspection is beyond me. The extremely high turnover in staff is very telling as well.

Have a family member there for short term care after release from the hospital. To say the least the facility is below standards for cleanliness. It looks to be a worn out building that they decided to place a bunch of beds in. Horrible the smell is obnoxious, the walls are scuffed , rooms are dirty and as far as I can see not well kept in any of the common areas. The first review saying this facility is updated must be dated from years and years ago. I am currently searching for an alternate location for my loved one ..this place isn't fit for an animal well off human. If you care for your loved one do your research first !
