I would not recommend this facility to anyone. They are severely understaffed(When I called I was told they were overstaffed). If you press the button for help, they might come in an hour and that's to turn the light back off. They will put the button in the bedside drawer or out of reach. They "forget" to give meals. I pointed out that she had not had dinner and they scrambled and gave her a 5 day old sandwich (it had the date on the baggie it was in.) After my mother fell in there and only seen by the nurse, they tried to play it off as no big deal, let them know if any new pains (as she was complaining about a new pain!) and I told them to call the paramedic. Of course a new broken bone. No, we will not be going back there. There are a few that seem to care there but they have no hope of making a difference with everyone else that will go out of their way to do nothing. Including the don and social worker. Had to report one of the CNA's and they basically just removed her from our hallway but then she would go and just sit in a chair in that hallway (I suppose to try and intimidate me?) I was told that she wasn't allowed in my mom's room. Why do you feel you need to go out of your way to be a mean person to people you are supposed to be helping to heal?
