The owner of Estia Care (Diane) is not the person that she presents herself to be. My father was in their care for only a few months and we took him out. She talked to my father negatively about me behind my back - by what he told me, she obviously didn't care for me. She was totally out of line to do that. She also administered medication to him that was NOT prescribed to him. A violation. And administered medication in an unsafe manner that could have had very serious results for my father. Shame on you! My father was very unhappy there. Diane is a control freak and does not present herself in a professional manner. Diane - I see that you responded below. You certainly did give my father medication that was not prescribed to him. I found it in the drawer next to his bed. Someone else's name on the tube of RX cream. He told me it had been put on him. You are a liar. AND I never held any information about my father from you. NOTHING. You may have years of experience as a nurse but you are NOT the end all be all that you think you are.

I almost moved my mom To Estia care home. One the phone I initially spoke to Diane and she told me its was $4000. The next day my brother went to visit, she told him $4000. She also questioned the meds my mom was taking and said her nurse practitioner could get them changed for her. I went to visit 2 days later, she told me $4500 because my mom has Alzheimers and will need extra care. She wanted to meet my mom, in her setting. She told me to bring my moms medical records for review and she would bring the paperwork to sign. We scheduled for the following Monday. There was covid in the building so I wanted to have my mom covid tested prior to Diane visiting. Waited until my mom’s scheduled day which was Wednesday. I called Diane to let her know mom was negative, and we decided on a Friday 2pm appt (Friday of 4th of July weekend) and Diane called me at 1pm on Friday and said, “are we on for tomorrow?” I said Diane, “aren’t we scheduled for Today? I told you I had plans tomorrow?” Diane said, “well I cant make it today.” We rescheduled again for the following Tuesday. Diane was 20 mins late, and forgot the paperwork. I had already sent the medical records electronically. She asked my about the xanax my mom Used to take, I told her that she had not had that in 6 yrs. She wanted to talk to “Ash”, the NP, to get meds onboard incase mom had a difficult transition. I told her I did not expect any problems based on her history. She also told me the price would be $5000. She said was going to send me the paperwork, She told me she was thinking about switching rooms, and I asked her about bringing my moms bed and she said she would get back to me. I already had the deposit check made out, so I gave it to her. Mistake! I waited wednesday, thursday…no paperwork, no call about the follow up items on the room. Friday she calls me to see what I am waiting on.., I said you were going to send paperwork and get back to me… she said can we just fill it out in person together and she mentioned getting the xanax prescription on board again. I agreed to come in on Monday and fill out the paperwork. But when I hung up the phone I really started to have concerns and doubts….the price has gone from 4k mo to 5k mo, and I am wondering is she just planning on sedating my mom all day or why does she need this prescription of xanax so bad? I prayed about it and I went back to her Google page and I saw another bad review stating that there was some shady things with medications going on. So I told Diane the following day that I had changed my mind, that this wasnt the place for us. Very respectfully. Diane’s personality flipped…she proceeded to tell me I was negligent and I need to find more care for my mother (my mother is in a facility and we have hired caregivers to sit with her every day for six hours in addition to their staff and I visit daily) and that she had already cashed the check (she went that day, after our conversation based on time stamps). She said that she went out of her way to accommodate me, held the room for weeks (she rescheduled and and didnt send paperwork), said that she drove all the way to Baytown which she considered quite far so that I need to take responsibility for all this investment of her time (she insisted on coming to visit my mom and the other time investment she was speaking of was time talking to her NP friend about getting my moms “meds on board”- meds that I will REITERATE, were not in her care plan and she hadnt taken in 6 yrs…because Diane anticipated behavioral issues ). She told me she would return $1000 in 30 days. I said, $500 for you to keep sounds fair but she denied and she has yet to return a dime of the $2500 deposit. Well this is not someone I would want to take care of my mom, glad to have figured it out before we moved in!

My 87 year old mother lived at Estia Personal Care Home and I could not be happier that my loved one spent the end of her life at Estia PCH. Dianne, the owner and an RN, is personally involved with the care of each and every resident. My mother loved the staff and they treated her like family. I could not have asked for a better place for her. All of their residents are treated with love and kindness. My Mother was served home cooked meals every day. They have a 24 hour nursing staff who are absolutely amazing at paying attention to the residents and assessing their needs. The house is always clean and residents are happy. If you can't take care of your loved one at home, This is the next Best place. A big Thank You to Crystal for making my Mom feel so Special.

My father has lived here for more than 2 years and we couldn't ask for better care for him. The staff genuinely cares about the residents and treat them with dignity and respect. We love the family enviornment that Estia Care provides and I'm totally comfortable with leaving my dad under their care.

My mom was a resident of Estia Care. The staff treat my mom and the other residents like family. The care my mom received from the staff was kind, loving and respectful. The staff make a difference in the lives of the residents and of their families. I visited my mom nearly every day she lived at Estia Care and every day, the staff was making a difference in the lives of their residents. Thank you, Estia Care!
