My sister is there I did not recognize her. What teeth she has left no one tried to help her care for them. She asked for floss a few years back and nail clippers which I sent. They over medicate them. They told me she quit talking at all. I figured she would not recognize me or my uncle. They pointed her out to me when I got there and I did not recognize her at all. To my surprise she recognized both of us and tried to communicate. I understood some things she was saying. She got very upset and emotional. Going back this morning

My aunt resided at Perryville Estates needing care in the locked unit for mental illness. The facility was clean, the staff were very kind and she appeared to be well taken care of. The social worker, Nikki was a very kind, caring and responsive person. She had a genuine interest to get to know the residents. My aunt also really loved the food and looked forward to mealtime. It’s also conveniently located right next to the hospital in case residents fall ill. I was initially concerned because of the low ratings, but I now feel that positive experiences aren’t reflected with reviews and wanted to share for people that need to put a loved one in a home.

I do not recommend this place to anyone. Some of the nurses were rude. Also I have been falsely accused of selling meth which is a COMPLETE FABRICATION and because of that they won't let me on their premises to see my girlfriend who is a resident there. She tells me she feels like she is in prison. Like another person commented, I would leave a "0" star if possible.

My 44 year old son was a resident there, for a short time, after a hospital stay for mental illness. The facility exceeded my expectations on cleanliness and friendliness. His case worker Brian and office person Pam are very understanding, kind people who actually listen and have compassion not only for my son but for myself also. Every staff member I spoke to was the same way, compassionate and listened. I hope he never has to be placed out of our home again but The Estates of Perryville would be my first choice. Thank you to all the staff there.

I will start with the ONE positive statement regarding this place. A couple of the staff members genuinely cared for the residents b that’s it. This place is understaffed and the owners only care about making money - NOT taking care of the basic needs of the residents. They are lucky if they get a shower once a week (and my mother was able to shower on her own). The “meals” couldn’t even be called meals. One evening, my mother was served only potatoes for dinner....nothing else. I actually had her start sending me photos of what they called “meals”. Nothing was close to remotely nutritional or well-rounded. Also, my mother said that patients that were not mobile were frequently not fed. Last but certainly not least, communication from the Estates was virtually non-existent. It took 4 phone calls and finally a threat to contact health and senior services to get a doctor to see my mother.
