I wouldn’t recommend this places. No communication, no calls back. We never got a call back from the Dr. lack of communication between staff. No notification that our mother had fallen. When we called to speak to our mother it was always a hassle. It was always something. They need to be sure to place the call on hold heard frustration when we called. This place was not helpful at all. We finally paid a transport company to get our mother to another state. Since returning home and proper care from her physician she is thriving. They never had a plan to get our mother where she needed to be to leave.

Liska Famliy

I was so embarrassed when I walked in Elk River Nursing Home on Memorial Drive. it was so pathetic. It was so nasty. If my mom or my grandparent were there, they'd be out in no time. It's not fit for a dog. Patients are declining bc it's all about money and not the health of a patient. Understand it's a nursing home but why give patients a raw deal? Would you want your mother, father, sister, brother, or someone related to you live in that filth? Next time I go there, I'm taking tons of pictures and it will go in the newspaper.
Peg Wallace is a great person. She loves and cares about her patients. She goes above and beyond her call of duty to care and go out of her way to help patients. She's helped patients learn to walk again when there was very little hope. When you go to Elk River, look Peg up and give her a hug for her great work. Do something special for her. She made a world of difference to the patients. I know she deserves some kind of recognition for her work at Elk River. The patients and their families love and adore her.

My mother has only been here since Saturday evening of June 21st but the team here has been phenomenal. Every single person I have met has been so attentive to my mother’s needs and helping us as we start the transition to home hospice. It’s the small things that have a big effect on me, just by them talking to her & being sweet to her means the world. I am thankful for this team as we navigate into a new season of life. This is a team you can truly depend on.
