I moved into Ecumen Prairie Hill on September 2025, and it was a very pleasant surprise . The staff and residents were very friendly I felt like I came home. They keep me busy (what I like) with many activities , outings, get togethers with other residents. I highly recommend Ecumen Prairie Hill to every one and have been for some time.

The staff in memory care at Prarie Hill excel at listening, ubderstaning, problem solving, recall, and communication. They are gentle, patient and kind. The support staff, assisted living staff, and ecumen hospice staff are just as gifted as caregivers. They have turned every 'end of life' challenge into a sigh of relief. Thank you for helping us thru a difficult time!

My mother (84) was originally diagnosed (incorrectly) with dementia and was placed in a local nursing home. Once the doctors figured out the actual root cause (UTI) she began to improve but was not happy--to say the least--with the nursing home. She still needed quite a bit of assistance before she could move back to her home. On a recommendation, I met with Sara at Ecumen Prairie Hill along with other staff. They did an evaluation and determined that my mom qualified for their programs. Initially, she was in memory care for a couple months so they could give her the constant care she required. She was then re-evaluated and qualified to move to regular assisted living (an apartment at Prairie Hill) for about a year. While there, she got involved with a ton of activities including exercise, music, BINGO, etc...and really began to thrive again. Because of her determination and the fantastic care she received while there, my mother was then able to move back to her home and is living independently again. My family is more than grateful and appreciative for everything the staff at Prairie Hill/Ecumen did to help her get back. If the time comes again and she needs more assistance, we'll most definitely work with Ecumen again.

My mom was one of the first residents when Prairie Hill opened in 2012. She lived there until she died last October, one of the longest residents. I can't say enough good things about Ecumen staff. They are the ultimate professionals and really cared about mom. They continually improved and pushed the boundaries of what assisted living can become. I got to know many of the staff who worked there over the years and they were all very caring people who were excellent in their profession. Moving mom there was one of the smartest decisions I ever made. Ecumen is a top notch organization.

Every single staff member at Ecumen Sand Prairie and at Ecumen Prairie Hill was a model of kindness, expert care, and prompt attention to needs, during the two years that my sister resided at the two locations. I was particularly moved by the two short spiritual ceremonies the staff conducted on the day she passed. Nurse Meghan Schaub at P.H. was the epitome of expert medical supervisor and warm, affectionate care giver.
