Never have a had a good experience with this place I’ve had my great grandma here and they didn’t check if she was eating or not she ended up passing because she was starving my great aunt was here they didn’t know how to take care of her she was left alone unattended no one found her till the next day when she’s not even supposed to be left alone and now my grandpa is in the hospital because they never checked on him when he was in good shape now his kidneys are failing. I would not send your loved ones here.

My mother was transferred here after a 9 day hospital stay with pneumonia. The administrators helped me expedite her admission and all staff were so so kind, patient and caring. She loved the food (she is a really picky eater) and gained some of the weight she had lost back. She also really liked the physical therapists and worked well with them. All staff worked closely with us and they had her ready to go home to to her assisted living apartment in 10 days. I am so happy we brought her here and we plan to bring her back should the need ever arise again.

My aunt came to Duquoin for permanent residency . Although my aunt could be quite difficult to care for, the staff was very patient . She was there a short time , (almost a year) before she passed away but the staff shared our loss. They shed some tears, we received a lot of hugs, even though she could have been considered Cantankerous! The administrator always made time for us if we had an issue of concern. The nursing staff was kind and demonstrated a well rounded knowledge and skill base. All places have staffing issues off and on. This place is not any different. But the staff worked hard not to short change any residents during those times. Do not make the mistake of thinking a large , modern, BEAUTIFUL place gives better care. Sometimes it is the smaller, simple places that display that family ambiance you are looking for when placing a love one. God Bless and Good Luck.
