Today this morning Aug. 16, 2026. The Nurse Gabriela Ramirez. I want to give her a ten for her great service. Her hard work, compassion attending my needs and want. She even went above to give me a bird bath and dreesed me as well. 😊 👏

I would be very weary of sending your loved ones here. My mom was sent there for wound care and after about a week she started PT. During her PT sessions her wounds started to bleed and she was sent to Kaiser for the day to have her wounds cleaned out. About 20 mins before transport was going to pick her up to return back to this facility they called Kaiser and said they would not receive my mom back. They said that her wound care "was to extensive." Mind you, I have been going for the last 2 weeks from 10a-8p (visiting hours) and they only come in once a day for about 20 mins to change her bandages, there is nothing extensive about that. I believe because her wounds were compromised during PT they were quick to drop her as soon as she left the facility for treatment at Kaiser. But they could've adjusted her PT not deny her coming back just out of the blue.<br><br>The heartbreaking thing about this is that now my Mom has been left in limbo in an ER bed because she was dropped cold without any dignity by this facility. They just dropped this on us within 20 minutes of her returning. All her personal items are still at the facility in her room. Never was there ANY communication that she would not be returning here. She was never discharged nor was there ever talks about being discharged. Now we have to scramble in a panic to find her another facility. It's awful for them to treat an elderly person like this. The stress and worry that it not only puts on my Mom but on her family as well.<br><br>I did not get one phone call from Downey Health explaining the situation. They just denied her coming back to her room WITHOUT ANY COMMUNICATION about this, leaving an 82 year old woman stranded at the ER, she was discarded by this facility without any human compassion.<br><br>This treatment is very heartless, callous and unprofessional.<br>I'm deeply saddened by the situation and the handling of this or lack there...it really shows how unsympathetic and compassionless the administration of this facility is.<br><br>Please think twice about sending your loved ones here. Because they could leave for treatment and suddenly denied coming back without any notice. It's truly sad.

So far my friend has been left in excruciating pain for two days, but the staff there says the doctor has not responded. Maybe because they persist in calling the facility doctor instead of the palliative care doctor who prescribed the pain meds. I have provided this info three times. I have now called the doctor myself and left an urgent message.<br><br>Update: the Director of the facility was responsive, but ultimately my friend was left without the proper meds for 52 hours. Since that time the nursing staff has inconsistently followed the pain med regimen: today I again had to call and report that my friend was in bad pain. They’d missed a dose. Again.
