I don’t ordinarily leave negative reviews about healthcare because I’m a healthcare worker myself but this has to be said because it’s embarrassing. I guess the meaning compassion and care care has changed for some people . These are not accusations , these are the facts of what WE are experiencing . How do you get by with not giving needed medications , and signing that they were given . This resident is alert , oriented and only there for rehab to transition back home . They know whether or not they received them .And assessments oh go head and give that medication they are breathing so the bp should be good . How about not answering a call light that has been going on for over an hour. I mean it was timed . What if the person was having a true medical emergency and just not needing help to bathroom . Oh and how do you give someone on a special diet things they are not suppose to have . Spoke with that manager who stated that they would go talk to resident , didn’t happen . Let’s talk about the ants ….why . Not giving showers or offering showers and saying they refused . Well I guess you can if you wake them out of slumber and have them sign a paper without the “real” explanation . Let’s cause an incident by rushing a resident and not allowing the proper time needed to complete dressing , just push them out to the van with no shoes and foot dragging . Lying when asked for something to drink because you are too lazy to get it . Ok if you are a little busy at the time and have to get it later , then say that . Healthcare here is not like I remember it when I lived here and knew people employed there . I get it everyone is short but what you do is adjust your work load and organize it . Hey communication would be nice instead a feeling like you don’t matter . If you talk with your patients you will find that they are understanding as long as you keep your word . But this kind a treatment is sad . Reached out to Admin and DON and even the charge nurse but can never get an answer not a rely to left messages … hmmm. Never know when it could be you or a family member that’s being subjected to subpar care . Then it’s too late , they are now the victim of the unprofessional, uncaring behavior that you are now guilty of . I don’t recommend this place , don’t want to see anyone lose a job so at least perform the one you were entrusted to do . Not the same place that used to provide excellent care !
