This was my 1st experience with a nursing home ever and it was the most awful experience I have ever had! My mom was placed there by hospice and the lack of communication between hospice and the facility was awful! The facility didnt even know nothing about my mom such as her having a bed sore coming up which has now turned into full bed sore with infection. They had her over medicated and she couldn't even speak to tell anyone she was sitting in her own feces. She had her oxygen off 2 times when I arrived and once the whole machine was off and noone noticed or came to check. She left me able to walk a little and eat and drink fine and use the bathroom on her own with assistance amd within 2 days she couldn't even raise up in bed, could not walk at all, was in diapers and not eating or drinking for 2 days. She couldn't even drink thru a straw. Her mouth was disgusting with stuff built up on it where Noone had cleaned around her lips. When I finally got someone to call me back she called me from a blocked number and left a voicemail because my phone doesn't allow blocked numbers to call. This was partially the hospice fault but when 1 fails the other should catch wat they failed. After all my mom was under the facility care at the time. They was the ones with her all day and night. So as from my experience I do not recommend this place for anyone's loved one!

This place is terrible. No one knows what to do like the blind leading the blind. They don't have a good relationship with the patients and seems like everyone here just views this as a job. If you're in healthcare of this type you have to love these people this has to be personal for you or you don't need to be in this line of work. Taking care of elderly is the same as taking care of a child they are special and they need special attention. I pray this place gets someone in here to change this place cause it's bad.

I am givingt this one star solely based on the fact that this facility has some nice people working there, but the facility itself is severely lacking in many ways. It is beyond cramped, inadequate in accommodations, and does not lend itself to a healing environment. It is understaffed and does not have adequate safety measures (such as bed alarms) in place. My mother's roommate, who was there because of a broken hip, crawled out of her bed falling onto the floor ten times while I was there and would have just remained there unattended had I not noticed and called for help. Food , which was cold each time it was delivered, was left for my mother to cut herself, which was impossible for her to do. The staff giving the medication was sometimes unaware of what they were giving - some are not licensed personnel. One staff member came in and told my mother she was giving her heart medication - when I questioned her and she told me the name of the medication, I recognized it was not even a heart medication, but the staff member did not know the difference. Makes one question how many medications are wrongly administered. They do have some licensed staff, but they are understaffed, leading to delegation of critical tasks to unlicensed, and apparently untrained personnel. The rooms are impossibly small, outdated and dull. If there is more than one visitor, you are out of luck as there just isn't space left. Again - the staff are probably doing the best they can, but if you can find any alternative for your loved one, please avoid putting them in this facility. It is depressing, inadequately maintained, has severe concerns for basic quality measures of physical safety, lack of healing environment, and inappropriate use of staff for daily tasks.
