We are starting to explore options for elder care, and we were blown away by Mom and Dad's House! The home is beautiful with a beach theme and many places to come together. The staff is super friendly, and I can't say enough about the care the owners took in explaining everything to us. I hope they have an open space for us when we are ready.

This is truly an exceptional home in the residential board and care space. Yvonne and Matt have thought of everything with regard to making sure their residents get the best care and opportunity to thrive. The home is stunning and purpose built to make providing care as easy on their residents as possible. They go above and beyond to provide meaningful activities, music and pet therapy, and community engagement. I only wish this home had been around when having to find a board and care for my mom.

I cannot say enough good things about Mom and Dad’s House Cottonwood in Los Alamitos. Matt and Ivonne Meader have truly created what I would consider the ideal residential care home for families who want their loved one cared for in a dignified, loving, and professional environment. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the difference. The home is beautiful, exceptionally clean, thoughtfully designed, and offers the type of amenities families hope for when searching for quality care. The private bathrooms, warm environment, and overall attention to detail really stand out. What makes this home even more special is the leadership behind it. Matt and Ivonne are two of the most respected and well known owners and administrators in California’s residential assisted living industry. Their passion for senior care is obvious, and it reflects in the caring culture of their team. In addition to operating their care home, they are also the founders of a widely used electronic records software system that helps monitor the care of more than 1,000 seniors living in care facilities throughout California. Because of this background, they run an incredibly organized and proactive operation when it comes to regulations, documentation, communication with families, and coordination with medical professionals. Without hesitation, Mom and Dad’s House Cottonwood would be my #1 choice for my own mom when the time comes.
