We had a very unfortunate experience at Cranberry Court. When my husband went to check on his mother, he found that she had died. He immediately pulled the emergency cord multiple times, but no one responded. After searching the building for assistance, the only staff member he could find was asleep on a couch in the lobby.

For a facility that costs more than $7k per month, this level of responsiveness is deeply concerning. I understand that assisted living facilities are facing significant staffing shortages, but residents and their families should still be able to expect attentive supervision.

The most troubling part is that if the only staff member on duty was asleep, how many other residents were left without assistance during that time?
